Really good ice cream. I recommend the Buckye Madness WITHOUT chocolate syrup because I feel like it makes it too sweet that way.

My first visit here this afternoon will also be my LAST visit. What a terrible first impression. My grandmom just died and my boyfriend took me here to surprise me and cheer me up. When we arrived, we weren’t sure who was next in line. The menu, on a dimly lit screen in size 10 font was hard to read- again my FIRST TIME HERE. There was a young man and a woman behind the register. She looked like she could be anywhere between 19-42 years old. We weren’t greeted, they just stared at us and made us uncomfortable until we just ordered because we felt extremely rushed and had no idea who was in line. The woman behind the counter kept shifting her weight, rolling her eyes, and huffing and puffing. I found myself having to APOLOGIZE and saying “sorry, I’ve never been here before…”. We hurried and ordered. The milkshake my boyfriend ordered was handed to him leaking all over, it was a mess. I was helping him clean it up with a napkin when the miserable woman goes to hand me my icecream cone. It was obvious that I was still trying to clean up the mess of a milkshake she gave us. I found myself rushed and apologized YET AGAIN for cleaning up her mess. Her attitude was terrible. What started as a stop to cheer us up ended up making us uncomfortable and feeling worse. When I didn’t take the cone from her quickly enough, she started huffing and puffing again, rolling her eyes. So to recap- no greeting, miserable employees, impatient and unwilling to offer help, just such an uncomfortable experience. I came in with $10 for a tip, but I didn’t leave them a red cent after the experience I got from them. And to the woman behind the counter- sorry your life didn’t turn out the way you wanted it to. Sorry you have a crappy job that you so obviously despise. If you have the skills, which I’m sure you don’t- perhaps it’s time to seek a new line of work instead of taking out your poor choices on the people who come in there. I will tell everybody I know to take their business elsewhere. Milkshake was mid, ice cream was basic. The service could have made me give them a second chance- but the service was less than terrible.

This is my favorite place to come and get frozen custard!! Lots of toppings to choose from and there are also a ton of premade choices in their freezer to choose from :)

RUDEST LAZIEST STAFF IN MARIETTA OH!! Although the custard is wonderful, it is undeniable that the staff in this place will ruin your experience, almost out of spite that they seem to be the only one working there at the time. It never fails to happen, the staff there is by far the downfall of this place.

For the first time ever, I arrived to the announcement, "We are out of vanilla." It was near close, and the workers looked exasperated. Clearly, they had had some frustrations due to their lack of vanilla. Otherwise, I would not have received a half-hearted eye roll when I exclaimed, "Praise God!" and relief rushed over my husband's face. He knew what we had walked a mile for after I read the map wrong and the dismay it would have been to trudge back to the car with empty hands.
Alas! Whit's frozen custard is the richest chocolate ice cream (or custard) I have found in the MOV and surrounding area save my own. I was on a mission in desolate despair, expecting to be disappointed yet again, and Whit's came through with a rich chocolate custard formed into a milkshake with a touch of peanutbutter and hint of caramel. This was satisfaction. This was joy.
