I can’t believe I didn’t try this place sooner! The staff was very nice and accommodating, atmosphere was so nice and all I’ve ever done is carry out, the place is always packed every time I pick up, and some of the best orange chicken I’ve ever had anywhere! For sure get this place to try!
Though a lovely restaurant to be in, the food I ordered came bland, poorly seasoned, overly sweet, and a small portion. Not very Chinese. Sorry, gang I juat couldn't finish it. After a few bites I'm tossing it.
Great food and great service
Always good food
Love this place!! They are the only ones that make the BEST Lemon Chicken ever!! The service is always wonderful. A few of the people have been there for years.
Orange chicken 🍗 yummy 😋 my doggy loves the rice 😋 she loves to swing too
Best Chinese Restaurant in Marion and surrounding counties
Kinda hard to find, behind and to the south of old marion mall. But worth it
I called and waiting on hold for 20 minutes. 3 times someone picked up the phone then right away, without saying anything, put me back on hold. Frustrated I finally hung up. Every other business out there will allow for ordering online. From now on I will find another option.
This is one of the best restaurants in Marion, Ohio. We've eat here Everytime we go to Marion. This is the best Chinese restaurant around!

Consistent service, quality, kindness. The best sweet and sour sauce around.
Nice quick jeal in a shopping center
After a short wait, seated promptly. Service was great. Soup (wonton) was kind of bland tasting. Main dish was pretty good, but not the best Chinese food I've had. Overall decent experience.
Honestly, if I could leave a 0 I would. I have been going to House of Hunan since I could remember. It’s been at least 10 years (I probably been going there longer, but I am saying at least 10 years because I know I went in high school) I feel like! The food was always amazing, but boy has that changed. Things do taste different now, way more bland and the service is always really bad. i have had to go here since the other local Chinese went out of business. So really, it’s the only take out Chinese in Marion. Recently, there portions have dramatically changed. My tofu only is a half of a take out box, and other family members only get 1/2-3/4 of a box of chicken meals. I got tired of it so I said something last time, and they apologized and told me the portion was wrong and they would give me a credit. Today, it happened again so I asked questions. I was told tonight when I picked up my food that they count only 14 pieces of tofu into the box and that is it. Mind you, 14 pieces (if there was even that many) is only half of a take out box. I understand inflation, I really do, but tofu is one of the cheapest proteins with 1 block (being about 14 oz) is only $1.59 at Kroger, which I do realize that it can be different for them but that is like the general price in store for tofu. There is no way that a block of tofu (again if I am even getting a whole block with the only 14 pieces) and a 3/4 of a container of white rice (because they do not fill the whole box anymore) should be $11.00. Yes, I do get that they need to make a profit and there is sauce and because of inflation, but still! What makes me even more upset is the owner said to my face “it’s always been this way”. As someone that has been going there for so many years, I was honestly so offended by the owner lying to my face about the portion for tofu dishes is 14 pieces of tofu. It has never been that way, maybe in the last 6 months to a year, but never before. Luckily, the manager that I was speaking to (NOT the owner) was very nice to me regarding it and said she was sorry to hear I wouldn’t be back. It is outrageous to think about what happened today, especially the owner lying to me.
I never leave negative feedback however, dinner tonight is in the trash.
We used to get House of Hunan and really enjoyed it. This evening while making a trip to Marion, decided to order dinner to take home. Extremely disappointed, to the point we just could not eat it. Pot stickers were very greasy and tasted like the cooking oil was bad. Sesame chicken had no sauce or flavor. Pieces of dry chicken nuggets, no sauce or sesame seeds. Will not have House of Hunan in the future.
