The Old Bag of Nails Pub | Marysville

We attempted to eat here on Friday night. We waited at the front for about 15 minutes before we were seated. We then waited another 15 minutes at our table without being waited on. We ended up walking out. They seemed to be very understaffed. We returned on Saturday at lunch to give it another go. We were seated immediately. The service was a bit better. Food was decent.

Good food but horrible service, showed up on time to pick up my food and had to wait a further 40 minutes until it was ready.

Love their fish! Enjoy the outdoor seating.

This place was definitely worth the impromptu visit. I chose it because Google had a review about the carrot cake. Oh my, was it ever correct. The carrot cake is a 10 out of 10. I ordered the pretzel and my husband ordered the fish and shrimp basket and subbed onion rings for fries.
The food was amazing! The carrot cake was absolutely divine.

Pretty pricey for a small town pub. Service wasn't great.

Shrimp.is.awesome

GREAT all you can eat shrimp and chips on Wednesdays. Really prepared and cooked well. The rest of the menu is solid woth reasonable prices. Fair selection of draft beers. Good cocktails with a full old fashioned bar.

well the hamburger was great. the family recipe of their clam chowder was amazing, but they're fries not so good. they were like an old bag of nails. actually the bag of nails might be better. inside the restaurant was a little stinky. outside was perfect. our waitress was awesome

We called to see if there was a wait and was told no wait. Got to the place in 2 minutes and no staff was there to seat us. Bartender had to get the hostess. There was no seating. After 15minutes waiting asked the hostess how much longer and was told another 20-30. A party of 4 came in ahead of us, still waiting. A party of 5 came in after finding out we had another 20-30minutes and they had just called and was told immediate seating with no wait. Don’t go here if you’re hungry…..apparently the person answering the phone doesn’t even know what’s going on.

The food was good and our server/ bartender was great. Checked to make sure the fries weren't cooked with the seafood. Very important because my husband is highly allergic. She stopped by our table several times. The only negative is how grubby the restaurant is. Needs a good spring cleaning.
