The Old Bag of Nails Pub - Marysville

My wife and I had our first date here 5 years ago and just went back for our anniversary on the 10/23/24. Everything is just as amazing as before. We have been there a couple times in between as well and always loved the atmosphere and the food. We are not much for live music and everything else so we just enjoy the lunch crowd but it kind of has a mix of different scenes or atmospheres for different crowds. Truly a great place.

PS the carrot cake is truly famous and to die for.

This could be such a great place. Prices are outrageous for small quantities and sub par food. If I'm paying $17.50 for a fish and chips dinner, I would expect more than, literally, 11 steak fries. Wait staff has zero personality. I know work isn't the best part of everyone's day but the servers definitely wear their disdain for customer service on their sleeves.

This is a MUST STOP HERE if you love fried fish and shrimp. If you haven't been here and live close you are missing some of the best fish and shrimp around. What are you waiting for?
We are not talking about little bitty fried shrimp, we are talking large to jumbo. We were lucky enough to have found this place on Wednesday which is all you can eat shrimp!! With your choice of fried, grilled or blackened. Plus you can try them all on Wednesday with all you can eat. The fish and chips were fabulous as well as the coleslaw. There was not one item that was not absolutely fantastic.
Justin was a super waiter! He had more shrimp coming out to my husband without having to even ask. Nothing makes a great meal even better than a fantastic wait staff.
Wish this was closer to home we would be there every Wednesday!
