2ndt time visit to the mason Location on 01/08/2022 @ 1PM - My wife and I had lunch there this time we had the a beef empanada and a plantain and cheese empanada both were delightful. We then tried something called a Hairy Arrepa, which was a nightmare. Apparently one side of the Arrepa was charred burnt and the shredded beef inside cold and not good, my wife just left the entire hairy Arrepa plated in the basket it was served in; also it seem it had some sort of shredded cheese - did not have a good taste sort of sour bits of cheese. The stuffing tasted like a cold sour ropa vieja shredded beef. - This is why, I rated this an Arrepa nightmare - Hairy but awful. - Don't get me wrong the empanadas were great especially the one stuff with cheese and sweet plantains.

This place is amazing! Nearly everything on the menu is gluten free / friendly. I haven’t tried an empanada that wasn’t fantastic!!I’ve eaten delivery from this restaurant many times and will continue to frequent the establishment!

Tried this for the first time as a party of 2. They were out of the tequenos and were making the chimichurri. We tried a Carne Mechada empanada, Hairy (beef) and Blondie (chicken) arepa, along with the finger food platter (the tequenos were substituted with fried plantains). Food was good, service was ok. Empanada was great. I would have liked a little more moisture with the Blondie arepa...it was a little dry. The Hairy arepa was a good mixture. Place seemed clean with a nice outdoor seating area.
