Rayoka Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi

My two (adult) kids went here for lunch. They asked if I wanted to join. I was working but asked them to get me take out. All three of us get the Filet Hibachi every time we go. They charged my kids for Filet but my “takeout” was New York steak for sure. They may go back but I won’t. 2 stars instead of 1 because it tasted good. Even though my jaw hurts from chewing that New York

We were there with a group. The Sushi was very good . I'm not a fan but everyone that ordered it was pleased. We ordered the Crab Rangoon which.left a bit to be desired because of a lack of filling. Ordered the Strip steak it was very good and cooked as ordered. Our Hibachi chef was very good. Our regular server was just ok. Everyone enjoyed the experience and their food.

From the time we got in the restaurant, reservation for party of 11, there were issues. The server who initially seated us seemed to be the only server working both the restaurant and bar area. She was doing her best. I wish I remembered her name. But other than that.....1. The carpet was sticky to walk on2. The other side of the Hibachi seating had previous guests whose plates etc where not cleaned until we were almost finished.3. The waitress forgot to turn on our grill so when the chef came out to cook he couldn't and we had to wait another 20 minutes.4. The food sat on the trays the whole time we were waiting for the grill to heat up. Meat and all.5. The chef was observed yelling at the waitress for this. This should've been done in private.6. The drinks from the bar were awful.My sin had booked this dinner for his daughters graduation which we were attending after dinner. Thank goodness he booked it so early as we were not expecting to be at the restaurant for over 2 hours.The restaurant did comp the 3 appetizers on a bill over $500. The General Manager did come over and apologize, but all in all this was just issue after issue. The food was n I t terrible but it was not the best I've had at this type of restaurant. I doubt I'll be back and Habachi cooking is one of my favorites.Good luck Rayoka. I sincerely hope this review helps you to make some changes so you can succeed.

We called ahead and were told we could be seated immediately. It was noon on Saturday. We were seated immediately. We waited an hour and a half without getting our meal. It was not very busy. We were one of 3 tables. The chef was just starting the table before us. We asked to just pay for our soft drink (no alcohol was ordered) and the very small salads we received. $100 for 10 people. Could not even just give us the salad for the wait/inconvenience. Nope. The waitress was trying. But she had no help. First experience. Terrible.

Sub par at best.

Great cocktail selection. Aji (spelling) is THE BEST hibachi chef I've ever had. Personality-wise and food! Hilarious guy!
