“4.56 rounded up My mom and I originally came here thinking it was more of a carry out taco shop. However, when I ran in to pick up carryout menus, this was clearly a restaurant with a full bar, plenty of table seating, and also provided carryout. It immediately struck me as feeling very clean. Sure enough, their Yelp health score was 100 out of 100. We were definitely game for trying it. My mom and I went inside and selected a comfortable booth. The decor is bright and inviting, though the theme appeared to be wrestling, which played on the TVs. The sound was turned down or muted but it was still somewhat distracting. We were promptly greeted by our server and ordered small margaritas on the rocks, the traditional house variety. They were okay- not great and not horrible- but nothing that made either of us want to order another. Tortilla chips and salsa were promptly placed on the table and the salsa was beyond amazing! It was clearly homemade with the perfect blend of ingredients that were agreeable to my mom, who generally prefers hot sauce, and to me, who would normally prefer a milder salsa. Not sure how they satisfied both pallets but they did. Wish they sold a bottled version of the salsa, and yet it was the homemade preservative free freshness that made it so delicious! For entrees, my mom ordered a breaded cod burrito with cabbage and tomatoes within the burrito. I ordered a pollo (chicken) burrito bowl. It could be ordered with avacado sauce (avocado and sour cream) and came with rice, lettuce, black beans, chicken and cheese. This restaurant is very authentic and there is a bit of a language barrier. I ordered my burrito bowl without the avocado sauce and ordered a side of chunky guacamole to share with my mom instead. My bowl arrived with the blend of avocado sauce and sour cream and I just rolled with it. It was still delicious, though I would have preferred it less creamy. The portions are huge so we ended up taking a lot of food home in to-go containers. My mom found the guacamole bland for her taste but I loved it. Interestingly, there no salt or pepper shakers on the table, and we didn't ask. My burrito bowl heated up nicely in the microwave for a few more meals and snacks. The salsa and guacamole were still delicious two days later. My mom, however, found her cod burrito best the first day when ordered. Upon heating it in the microwave, she was disappointed to find that it was less tasty and seemed more like fish sticks you might find at a grocery store. She still ate it though would probably order something else next time. Overall, our experience was extremely positive, despite disappointing margaritas, mild ordering misunderstanding, and a cod burrito that didn't heat up as well as leftovers. I would definitely return and be sure to clearly communicate any special orders. Absolutely enjoy the tortilla chips with salsa! This spot is very clean with so many delicious options within a colorful, upbeat ambiance. Highly recommend!“
“Great place, good food, amazing atmosphere. Very nice place and although the menu was a little overwhelming ? it was in the best way possible and had a very nice selection of options. Tacos, hotdogs, and cheeseburgers are just some of what Agave and Rye offers. They do have a kids menu with plainer quesadias, but you have to ask your waiter for it as it is not listed on the main menu. They had really good music playing and the whole restaurant was really beautiful and unique with lots of classy chandeliers, contrasted by the colorful graffittied walls. The walls are so colorful! I had a great time!Kid-friendliness: They do have a kids menu with plainer quesadias, but you have to ask your waiter for it as it is not listed on the main menu.“
“Food was delicious. Is a little pricier but worth it. Service was great as well. Ordered online, drove 3 mins, and was ready by the time I arrived. Portions could be a little more, but, all in all, good experience.Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessible“
“Went during happy hour. Service was great and was definitely fast service. Took off a star simply because the first taco “Bad Habit” had 2 pieces of steak. It was delicious though. Margaritas were awesome but that second taco had more steak and it was a bop for me and my honey. The street corn was good on the side and on “the heater” taco prices were good as well 2 tacos and to top shelf margaritas less than $30“
“The food was good and hot, frozen Margaritas were stronger than the tower Margaritas. Server/waitress was pleasant and took our order with a smile, and was attentive to our needs. All in all, EL Viejon is a great place for Mexican food and drinks. Will be going back again.“
“Service was slow but worth the wait. Food was excellent; reminds me of the great Mexican food we had in SoCal. Nothing is over-salted, so you can really taste the meat, cheese and herbs. The rice tasted fresh, the beans were creamy and topped with melted cheese. A great place to satisfy that craving for Mexican food.“
“Had Baba’s for the first time during a busy Friday night at Heavy Wheelhouse. The customer service was great, the meal was top notch (and ready less than ten minutes after ordering), and they made a modification to meet a dietary restriction. The whole group had a great experience and everyone loved their food (kids included).“
“Solid Taco Truck (trailer). Ordered the Special (steak & chorizo) and two tamales. Everything was flavorful and fresh. Service was quick and they were friendly.Only thing I could say is I wish they had a social media presence so I could know when they are there and hours.“
“We have been looking for a local pub. We were disappointed when the 05 Bistro closed as fast as they opened, but heard good things about this establishment so we thought we would give it a try. GREAT selection of bourbon, good cocktails, good food, and good service.“
“Went here for the first time because we were trying to find a new restaurant that we've never been to and we are glad that we stopped here.I would absolutely recommend this place. It has an awesome waitress that was really nice and helpful and explained how everything works. How to order and she made great recommendations. (Meg)The have "flights" of guac and other sauces.... That was awesome. Different sizes. And they had margarita flights. You can build your own tacos or they have their own recipes that you can choose from. The mango habanero sauce is absolutely awesome. The dirty sauce or whatever the hot sauce is called is awesome. There's so many options to choose from when making your own taco it is crazy.Ended up going here for a second time. In between those two times we went to the one in Perrysburg. It was definitely not as good as this one. This location is super quick. Even if they are busy. I don't know what it is but I would recommend this over to Perrysburg one any day.The inside of the restaurant is painted over the top. I love it! I think it's done by local artists.Everything about this restaurant is awesome. The staff, the ambiance the food, the wait times. Everything. If you're craving a taco, you should go check this place out.“
“I was told this was the best Mexican food truck in Toledo, and I don't have any information to contradict that. I had the shrimp and fish tacos and they were both very good. The pico de gallo is super flavorful. The shrimp was exceptionally good. My friend got a burrito and I definitely need to go back because his burrito looked amazing.“
“Really great place to go and eat at a cheap price with great quality of food.Bartender and server (Bri) is awesome, to say the least. She makes you feel all warm and fuzzy.Great place to go with your family and friends..Kid-friendliness: Kid can have a good time.“
“Ate here before a show at the stranahan. We were in and out in more than enough time . I had the grilled fish tacos and my husband had fried chicken and shrimp tacos. All of them were delicious. We also shared chips and salsa and each got a margarita. Everything was good and we'll definitely be back sometime soon.“
