Based on customer reviews, Smokehouse 91 is a hidden gem located in a small strip mall next to Heinens. The restaurant serves excellent BBQ, with specific meals like the 18 hour brisket, half pound brisket, brisket sandwich, ribs, pulled pork, chili brisket, and a homemade poblano and pepper jack pork sausage. The brisket has a great smoke ring and good snap back. Sides include baked beans which are tender and tangy, homemade coleslaw, mac & cheese, sweet potatoes, succotash, greens, and pickles. The cornbread is more like dessert, reminded of corn fritters, and comes with honey butter. The banana pudding is good but more northern style. The sweet tea is not too sweet, perfect. The service is great, with friendly staff and a very professional, knowledgeable meat cutter. The price is reasonable with large portions that provide leftovers. Improvements suggested include investing in flat cafeteria style trays to carry food from counter to table. The restaurant also does a lot of to-go and catering platters.
