My husband and I stumbled upon Nichols Pizza Shop while on vacation (this is a very rural—beautiful area) and I am SO glad we did! This little hidden gem absolutely blew us away. We ordered their 14 inch pepperoni pizza. It was a thin crust that was baked to perfection — crispy with just the right crunch in every bite, yet still full of flavor. The seasoning had a subtle spice that made each slice feel unique without overpowering the taste. And the pepperonis? Perfectly crisped on the edges, adding that irresistible crunch that takes a pizza from good to unforgettable. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why you love pizza in the first place — simple, delicious, and made with care. Nichols Pizza Shop truly exceeded our expectations, and we’ll be dreaming about that perfect bite until our next visit! 🍕💛

We’ve had pizza from as far north as Cleveland, OH to as far south as Gulf Shores, AL and as far west as St Louis, MO to as far East as the OBX…..the pizza here is first place for us without question! Perfectly cooked crust, light char with minimal grease on the box, little crisp with perfect amount of chewiness, was still amazing when it was cold and even next day when microwaved! We had an 18” pep, cheese, xtra sauce all over and then half of it we added mushrooms and onions. All of the toppings were great! The owner was so very kind and wasn’t rude at all. We did go in and order face to face but I could see where phone service might be a barrier in that area for placing orders. My hubs had been there many times when younger to pick up drinks and snacks for hunting but had never eaten their pizza. If you’re looking for well decorated, better than average facilities then you might wanna go elsewhere because this is truly an original mom and pop family owned business that has been around for decades and looks is not what they hang their hat on. Their pizza though, good lord it SLAPS! Get there!

After reading these reviews...thought I'd post one. Just called to order a pizza and got answering machine, the message said call back in few minutes. Owner called me back before I even got to call back. He was very polite by the way. Haven't picked up the pizza yet, but I'm sure it will be good. Always has been.
