This is probably a one-off (and definitely someone new and learning) but incredibly poor customer service and manager refused to make it right, which is the inexcusable part. We waited in line for a long time. A new person took our order. She was nice but clearly new. She charged us, then came back and said “I’m sorry I didn’t realize we were out of chocolate covered bananas. Then someone else came up and said they have one regular and one with nuts. We accepted it even though we don’t like nuts and we would’ve rather gotten a refund (didn’t want to be difficult). Then she gave us the wrong flavor of a pint of ice cream which was $10. When we opened it right there and noticed it was wrong, we told her and she disappeared. Then someone else came and said the person taking our order was convinced we ordered this other kind, but it’s a flavor we have never ordered. They then told us we needed to pay another $10 for the one we actually ordered. They called a manager and manager and even the manager said they’d have to charge us another $10. There was a long line and we didn’t want to make a scene so we just left. The entire order was messed up (which is ok, mistakes happen), but nobody tried to make it right, including management. Great ice cream and selection. We usually go to scoops. But we were passing Handles and decided to stop. Best decision ever. I got a peanut butter monster shake. And it was the best shake I have ever had. Customer service was great as well. I highly recommend this place.

Handel's is always a must have when I'm visiting my sister. It's probably a good thing there isn't one near me because I'd be there everyday! My go to is Red Skies at Night (raspberry ice cream with chocolate truffles), and my sister is a fiend for Knot Your Average Dough (Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough with Crushed Pretzel Swirl) although it's unfortunately a limited time flavor that comes only occasionally. The staff are always kind, patient, and efficient, it's easy to get in and out of the parking lot, and the prices are fair. (PRO TIP: if you're thinking of getting a large ice cream, get the pint instead. It's only $.90 more, almost twice as much, and easy to store if you don't finish it 💯) We will definitely be back to get ice cream again sometime soon!!
