Project sushi is one of the best spots in Medina! I’ve been going for years and the owner is a wonderful man who makes fantastic food. The prices are super reasonable and the atmosphere is great so do yourself a favor and stop by sometime!

As a professional visiting from out of town, I was looking forward to trying Project Sushi based on several positive recommendations. Unfortunately, my experience left me disappointed and uncomfortable, to the point that I chose to leave the restaurant and finish my meal in my car.
When placing my order, I requested a cup of water. However, I was charged for a vitamin water instead. While I fully understand that honest mistakes happen, what concerned me was the way it was handled afterward. I was not informed of the error at the time of the transaction. It was only after I took the initiative to request a receipt—after I had already sat down—that I became aware of the incorrect charge. At that point, staff informed me that the item had already been refunded.
Although I appreciate that the correction was made, the fact that it was not communicated upfront left me feeling disregarded. Had I not asked for the receipt, I would not have known about the charge or the refund. That lack of transparency made me question whether the situation would have been brought to my attention at all without my prompting.
As someone who is not local, the experience left me feeling distinctly out of place. I hesitate to make assumptions about intent, but I cannot ignore the discomfort the situation caused. Ultimately, I felt uneasy enough that I chose to leave the dining area entirely and eat my meal in my car.
While I recognize that errors occur, how those errors are addressed matters. In this case, the experience fell short of the level of professionalism, hospitality, and courtesy I expect—especially from a service-focused business. As a result, I do not intend to return.

Staff was soo nice but I’m sorry the food was not good. I’m very shocked at the high reviews. The sushi rolls were not good at all. Poke bowl is good though. I do question the temperature at which the raw fish is at because when I walked in the building it was soo hot and humid the fans were on as well. I felt the raw fish in the sushi rolls some seemed to be pretty warm and others were cold. I wish I could get a refund I’m pretty disappointed.

Nice little place to get decent sushi on the go. Sushi itself was pretty decent - honestly well worth price. Seems like it would be a great place to stop for a quick lunch if you don't have time for a full meal at a sit-down restaurant. Plenty of options and it came out quickly.

I drive a bit over 30 minutes to go to this place. Honestly no other sushi place gets it “right” for me. Yes, there are other good places closer to me. None of them scratch the itch like Project Sushi does.

I feel bad leaving a bad review because the staff was so nice but we tried 4 different rolls and all were awful. The crab is rubbery, the rice paper on the spring roll was way too thick and chewy, inedible.
