I've been here a few times. Every time, the food is great and the atmosphere is awesome. I've tried the Irish nachos ( loaded cheese fries), and they may be the best I've had! It's definitely a place to check out! I'd also recommend the tavern burger! I don't know what you're waiting on!

We had dinner here after seeing a few recommendations on a local foodies Facebook group, and we wish we had known about it sooner - what a great find! The atmosphere, food, and service are wonderful! There’s a good craft beer selection on draft and they have a nice deck among the trees along the river, which made for a perfect, relaxing evening. There is also a semi-enclosed seating area that has clear garage doors that can be closed as the weather gets chillier so you could still have an almost-patio experience.
The menu has a really nice range of options and prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you get, and everything we had was clearly made with care and thoughtful choices of ingredients. I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was one of the best I’ve had. I don’t usually get excited by chicken sandwiches, but I am craving another one of these! The large portion of chicken was super moist and had unique, crispy breading that added just the right amount of crunch without being too heavy. The mayo/sauce was, I’m sure, a house-made signature type of thing, it was awesome. Their take on steak fries was also soooo good - the steak fry shape, but with slightly wavy surfaces and with kosher salt. My husband had a burger (I think it was the Tavern Burger), which I sampled, and it was extra-extra tasty and was up there with some of the best we’ve had.
The service was also very prompt, warm and friendly! I felt like I needed to share our experience because some of the reviews that show up first don’t reflect what we experienced at all. This place is a hidden gem, and this will become a regular spot for us!

Great restaurant! The food is delicious-I have yet to have a bad meal with any option I choose. Service is always good. The staff is extremely friendly and the owner always makes sure to stop by the table and check in. It really makes the customer feel valued. The Walleye Wednesday’s are amazing. I love that they take the time to bring a quality fish to the area and at a reasonable price.

Wish we had visited sooner and will be going back for sure!!! My burger was spot on with the seasoning and cooked right at medium. The fries were a table favorite. Very friendly staff and owner! You won't be disappointed!

Heard about your place and we decided to try your food. We drove 30 to 40 miles to get to you. We called our order in and the woman taking the order asked us how we want our burgers. We said well done. She even repeated back. We paid 37.00 for our order plus a tip. This is what we got. Nasty raw Burger . My husband took a few bites before he noticed it. So let's hope he don't get sick! Waste of money and time.
If I could give zero Stars I would. We never go back to this place again

It's weird that they charge extra for BBQ sauce. They where understaffed when we went and the water we ordered came like after our appetizer. Burger looked good the kids liked theirs. Didn't care for the sauces with the pickles. Steaks are too expensive. I got the pork porterhouse it was cooked right, pretty tasty. Side salad wasn't worth the upcharge. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back but if I was in the area I would go again.

Servers are very slow but very nice. The food is pretty good but nothing to write home about. Need a better domestic beer selection. Great atmosphere inside and out. All and all it's one of the better options in the New Carlisle area.

Only giving this one star because I can't give it zero, but if you go here and have a service dog, expect to be discriminated against. I WOULD NOT waste your money on a small business who relies on the community for support, yet treats those in the community with health issues and service dogs poorly.
Wanted to give this place a personal shout-out. I don’t often do reviews, but the owner handled a tense situation last night very well in my opinion.
There was a woman who came in with her dog and started arguing with a 16-17yo girl at the hostess stand last night because she apparently had a service dog (not clearly marked) with her for a health condition she has.
If you make sure your service animal is wearing the appropriate attire (like a service vest) you don’t have issues because an establishment would know you don’t simply have a pet with you, and require certain accommodations. The owner handled the situation AMAZINGLY and I will definitely be back.

My family and I attempted to dine in here for dinner. The hostess said I had to be seated on the patio because I had a dog. I made her aware that she was a cardiac alert service dog. The owner said, “put them in the back.” I asked why I would have to go to the back with my dog, when another worker said, “we don’t want other customers tripping or stepping on your dog.”
Sorry but you’re not putting me in the back of the bus because I have a disability. My dog is trained to go under the table. A worker has since messaged me on fb and told me I need to be MINDFUL of people with allergies. The ADA clearly states that is NOT a reason to separate or deny those with service animals. The employees have also since stated, “we wanted to put you in the back because that’s the only place that would fit 5.” That is not what was said in the restaurant. It was said by an employee they didn’t want others tripping or stepping on my dog so I had to sit in the back of the room. And it’s also been made clear that they still see nothing wrong with this. So I will be contacting ADA.
