My wife and I very much enjoyed every aspect of our evening at Austin's. Every interaction was pleasant and from the door to the table. Our server gave a wonderful description of unique options on the menu and was clearly very knowledgeable of everything Austin's had to offer. The wait time on our meals was extremely reasonable, and our cups never ran empty. The food was absolutely top quality and left us both wanting to try more on the menu. We both look forward to our next visit.
We had a great meal at Austin's on New Year's Eve. We come here maybe a half dozen times a year and are never disappointed. We started off sharing a shrimp cocktail with my wife having a cup of wedding soup and I had the French Onion soup. The shrimp cocktail was very good. The cocktail sauce had just a little zip to it and the shrimp were large. My wife enjoyed her wedding soup and I also enjoyed the French Onion. I tell everyone Austin's has the best French Onion soup I've tasted in Lake County. I had the ribs, which were generous at a half slab and very tender, with a baked potato that was just right. My daughter had the salmon which she enjoyed and was surprised at the large portion. My wife had the chicken parm and was also surprised at two pieces of chicken. She took one home. She enjoyed it, but thought the sauce a little too sweet. We had no room for dessert. We'll be back here again for sure.
Visited on NYE so not the best time to visit. I ordered the NY Strip steak and was very disappointed. Ordered it medium well, came out medium/medium rare. Lacking is flavor. Wife ordered filet, which was fine, but her potato had parts that were rotted. Side salads ok, not great. We always loved this place but didn't love this meal.
So yeah. My first time here. Our waiter was the best. Was with a group of 7. FANTASTIC spinach artichoke dip with PERFECT homemade light thin and puffy chips. 5 stars. Parmesan chips there were 4 long but not huge and good. Now the cod fish and chips dinner was terrible. One of the women also ordered the fish. Mine was like 3 greasy sponges. I took one bite and noticed it was kinda greasy but thought it just came out of friyer. Didn't taste right at all. No flavor of fish what so ever. Took another bite and decided its not right. Asked how her's was she said fine. Then I took my fork and pushed down on my 1 of my 3 filets and it oozed out all sorts of grease. Asked to taste hers it was ok but still to me not fishy enough. Showed her my grease, she took a taste and spit it out with a ugly face. Menu is higher end prices, portions were normal I suppose when you pay a higher price. I would take my wife there for the dip.

This is the second time we have them a try only to be disappointed yet again. The ribeye is almost 1/3 fat! The ambience is nice. The hostess that sat us was sweet. The waiter seemed quite distracted and not too interested in anything we needed. Very unfortunate since this was a celebration dinner for our son after doing so well in his mid terms.
Went for Prime Rib which is served on Friday and Saturday from 5pm until close, arrived at 5:30 to be told they were out. Strip steak was very bland, also forgot to one of the side dishes ordered with the steak. Service was mediocre and overall just fair experience for the price sadly.
We've been there quite often lately and its been very good each time. We recommend going for a different experience.

Austin’s Steakhouse has some really good entrees, and the food quality itself has always been solid. That said, I’ve had disappointing experiences with service at both locations. The servers I’ve had were not very attentive and honestly not very friendly, which takes away from the overall experience.
I also tried the chicken wings, which are labeled as “real wings” on the menu. I’m not sure what that means, but they were by far the smallest wings I’ve ever been served, which was pretty surprising.
Good food potential here, but the service and some menu items could definitely use improvement.

The hostess was good are waiter was was very attentive to us making sure food came out the way we ordered asking if we needed refills very good. It's a very nice place very quaint . There are missing the only thing I found wrong with they serve no type of bread or rolls and butter when seated. We will diffidently be back!
Good menu choices with quality food!! Specials are available at both lunch and dinner!!
