We loved the food. The service was terrific. However, the new booths in the renovation are not only ugly and gray, lacking color and ambiance, but they have a smaller seating distance between table and seat. If you're plus size or just have a large chest, it's not comfortable. The other thing : we were freezing inside. I don't like to eat with my coat on, and shivered throughout my meal. The food got cold fast because of this, and even the lovely manager was dealing with a chronically runny nose from the cold. Turn up the HEAT.

It's a family tradition to eat here. Been eating LJS for over 30 years. This was good, but something was off with the quality of the chicken and its texture. Service was weird, the front end crew were indifferent and did not seem to care much at this location.

They are definitely not the same. It's been 5 years since we visited and I must say we were not missing anything. It was just ok and impressive. And as long as they took to prepare the meal, I thought it would've been hot and Fresh like I remembered but to no avail. It was mediocre and I could have stuck some fish and hush puppies in the air fryer at home that would have tasted much better and more satisfying. They even had supply boxes sitting on tables and seats. Clearly under new management and in need of an even newer management.

I'm only rating the food a little low because I don't like fried food. I stopped in there to grab a pop and use the restroom while I was traveling for work and they have the best customer service. I was shocked. I actually ordered some chicken and sat down. There is a couple or maybe brother and sister that work there. They are southern and so sweet. Really happy I came by. On customer service alone, this place deserves a 10.
