Its really a shame theyre only ever open for take out. The ambiance inside the restaurant is quaint and comforting. The food itself is a massive bargain as well, massive portion sizes and balanced flavors. The worker who took my order was very pleasant and talkative, and when i got the food i was stunned at the quality of the rice. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience here.

I often pick up one of the lunch specials. The Tokyo fried chicken or the Beef Teriyaki are our go to items. They also have great sushi and sashimi.

My son & I get dinner take out here every week. My son really loves the gyoza & teriyaki chicken! I get the crab rangoon & teriyaki salmon! Fantastic! Wish it was possible for them to open up the dining room again, but until then take out works fine! We usually spend about $40 which includes an appetizer each & a Pro Sumo Box each. The quality is excellent & always consistent.

This place sucks. Cannot dine in, you don't know till you get there. Waste of time.

This place is not what it used to be. Only take out now. All our sushi was smashed in a foam container and not good.

This place is an local institution, I hope they never close. I had my first rolls from here and have since had sushi in San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Boston, Atlanta and a dozen other big cities and small, they are my absolute favorite. The quality is never in question, they are always fast, and the prices are amazing. I hope you guys never close. I have missed having the dinning room open but that doesn't change how amazing the food is!

Did not rate food, atmosphere or service because although my family and I stopped there, it was carry out only. As travelers, we needed a place for 5 to sit down and eat at. 4 out of 5 were really disappointed that we couldn't go in to eat. I'm sure we would've enjoyed it.

Best sushi in the area by far. Just read the descriptions on the rolls; I think the negative review below on the Philly rolls didn't realize they don't use avocado in their version, but it's clearly on the menu as such (and in my opinion, better)

Date 11/21/24. All I have to say if whoever owns this place needs to fire whoever thought it was ok to make a philly roll with just cream cheese and nothing else. It was a ungodly amount of cream cheese too. First time ordering here and that was my last. Just can't put my head around who thought that was ok to be delivered. This is my only review I ever made, thats how messed up these rolls are.

I've been eating here for roughly 10 years now, still some of the best sushi I've ever had in the entire region Being a sushi snob I also realize that they have the best rice consistency I've had in the greater northeast Ohio region.So many times in many other sushi places that are common to this area the rice is slightly hard and subpar but sumo boy has always had the best sushi rice I've ever had.Their lunch special is still the best bang for your buck for sushi in the entire area, especially considering the quality.The biggest thing to be aware of is that they are struggling to hire people to keep the small business going. I know I saw a couple reviews on them that talked about bad customer service. This is mostly due to the extreme high levels of stress they've been dealing with running the business with basically two people for almost two entire years.

Parking: The parking lot is a bit of a trial once they put the Starbucks in. Be aware that people fly in and out of there like mad ?
