The girl working the counter today was unbelievable I have legit never met someone who was so rude on the island yet. Slammed my drinks down because she got it wrong lol if you’re going to work at a coffee shop at least know the simplest of orders. Coffee was good but service is an absolute 0.

Went to Middle Bass Island for the first time and came across The Island Grind. Super cute place to sit and have a coffee/smoothie and breakfast. We got a strawberry bagel and it was amazing. We also got strawberry and banana smoothies and they were SO good. Next time we’re in the area we will definitely be back. I

Adorable coffee shop! I loved the cozy atmosphere & being able to walk down to get coffee on the island every morning. There’s a hidden bar inside as well if you want something a little stronger ;) the turkey sandwiches were super fresh too, I’ve added green pepper to mine at home now too. Can’t wait to go back.

I love the Island Grind! Service is friendly, coffees are delicious, and the food is very satisfying, tasty, and fresh. The options are well considered and they're always happy to oblige accomodations to make your experience exceptional.
They have regular milk and non dairy options, can make fancier coffees and teas or just keep it simple. They're ready for any coffee requests and have a wide selection of sweeteners or flavors. They even have Matcha!
I like the BLTE for breakfast and my go to is either iced coffee w. Oat milk or an iced matcha latte w. Lavender.
Vegetarian options: Most things are meat optional. Avocado toast, bagels, French toast are all great options!
Parking: There's a gravel lot, spaces are not clearly delineated but there is always space!
Kid-friendliness: The inside has room to accommodate kids and outside of Island Grind is a beautiful park with tons of seating and room for kids to run around and be kids :)
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to access the park and the Island Grind!

This place gets better every time we visit! We enjoyed the coffee and fresh baked cookies in the morning. Then, the martinis and jazz music in the evening. The outside space is absolutely lovely. This is one not to miss. It is right up the hill from the ferry dock and a nice short walk from the marina
