El Trompo Mexican Grill Monroe

First time going to the Monroe location. The food is just as good as the westchester location.But the restaurant has a brighter vibe to it. The restaurant is very open with lots of windows and even a second floor.
The only downfall would be the availability of parking. There are definitely more seats in the restaurant than there are parking spaces in the lot.
That is the only bad thing i can say amout the place. I loved everything else.

The hype behind this place was disappointing. To start off this place is loud, wayy too much noise going on. The server that we had disappeared forever, we waited a long time from taking our order and to getting our drinks. Not once did our server check on if we needed anything. I had to waive someone down to tell them to call our server, not professional at all. I saw servers yawning and on their phones on the floor instead of attending to their tables, someone was also mopping for some odd reason, I also observed servers huddled around the receptionist area just talking. The food was ok, seemed like our food was sitting for awhile as it was not hot, I had to ask for salsa, if I wanted beans from a can I could have just went to get a can from a grocery store. For a lack of a better word the management and staff could use some work. I will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone wanting a night out with good food.

Before Id gone there to celebrate a birthday
I informed the person who seated us. Normally they would sing and give a drink or dessert and a hat to the birthday person. None of this happened. 🤔? ? . Just figured it was no longer an option.

Had a group there for my daughter’s birthday they did absolutely amazing with making her feel special and she had a blast. Thank you to all the staff and everybody at the Monroe location. You guys really made her night unforgettable.!!!

I traveled 8 hours for their sushi - somewhat secret menu item at El Trompo and ended up with amazing ceviche!Because sushi was sold out!

The food and service here was great! The portion sizes wow! The staff and I mean all the staff were friendly and helpful. The menu selection was great! Enjoyed dining with them and we definitely be back.
