Owner refuses to take the coupons that are offered for verity and Trenton. If you’re not going to accept them, stop sending them out. Ordered 74 dollars worth of food for my family and was missing half the sides. 2 young boys working

This was the first time trying HooKS chicken & fish, it will be my last, I ordered 2 meals from verity Pkwy store little over 20 bucks. They were running a couple coupons so I tried using the $5 off coupon which clearly states 5off my order over $5. I got into a verbal argument over this coupon ( I have pic of it) because they had no intention of redeeming it, she calls the owner & apparently he told her do not honor my coupon because it was supposed to say$5 off an order over $ 50 dollars. ? It wasn't my typo it was theirs, I told this lady IDC what it's supposed to say I can read what it says. Was in this place over 30 mins over there screw up with there own coupon s, DIDNT HONOR THAT COUPON & I BELIEVE THEY CHANGED THE WORDING TODAY. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE & THE OWNER DIDNT HONOR MY COUPON &if anything he should have gave me a thank you for pointing out the coupon in the first place. This has been my first ever negative review since I began this years ago. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE.

Don't bother arriving at the 11 AM opening time if you want fried food, the fryer won't actually be hot and ready to cook food for you until 11:20 or so... 🙄

We love Hook Fish and Chicken in Middletown! They are the nicest people and their food is fabulous. We always get the large fish family dinner with the lemon seasoning. Their rice and fries are wonderful too.

Our chicken, chicken livers, shrimp and hush puppies were fried in old oil and it ruined our meals. It was absolutely not worth the 42 bucks we paid and we will not be returning unfortunately. It's a shame because I always looked forward to trying this place when we moved here.
