We love Hook Fish and Chicken in Middletown! They are the nicest people and their food is fabulous. We always get the large fish family dinner with the lemon seasoning. Their rice and fries are wonderful too.

Our chicken, chicken livers, shrimp and hush puppies were fried in old oil and it ruined our meals. It was absolutely not worth the 42 bucks we paid and we will not be returning unfortunately. It's a shame because I always looked forward to trying this place when we moved here.

Stopped in on a Friday morning soon as they opened at 11 and ordered some whiting fish and mac&cheese and everything was delicious,hot and fresh. I will definitely return if I’m in the area.

My wife and both ordered the gyros. The meat was old and burnt. The pita bread was old and dried out as well. The French fries looked like they were cooked in oil that has been sitting in the fyer for over a month. My wife ordered fried mushrooms and we were given fried pickles instead. When we told the lady that rang us up , she wanted to argue with us and gave us an attitude from then on. We waited for over 20 minutes for our food. Her child was outside playing but then came inside and wiped his sweaty forehead right where they store the orders that need to be picked up behind the counter. Both my wife and myself after about an hour trying to eat the food, got nauseous and had to throw it up. The floor was sticky, sticky enough that I had to keep moving or my shoes would stick to the floor to the point my feet were coming out of my shoes. DO NOT eat here.

Calling in an order is a nightmare. There's a lot of background noise and the person who answered the phone couldn't speak good enough English to take my order. I have no idea if the food is good because I couldn't even order it.
