All around extremely very highly disappointed!!

Placed an online order, showed up on time to pick it up. Waited for 45 minutes and watch multiple people come in after me, order, get their food and leave. Never even was acknowledged by staff until I had to ask what the deal is. I do not recommend this location for service.

Do you see the hair? There was a hair in my sandwich and it took over 5 calls to get someone to answer at the store. I recached out through email like the website says and only received delivery status failures. They couldn’t refund me because i ordered online. probably best to just skip. (they also skimped us on our overly greasy fries)

Their website is down - aka not processing card payments; so I called my order in instead.. I get there and try to pay but apparently “they don’t take tap to pay” even though I’ve definitely used it before - she said they system is down .. OK I look up cvs to see if they do cash back so I can pay for my lunch, since I don’t have a physical card. Long story short you have to have a physical card to do cash back there- so I wasted my whole 30 minute break trying to get my food, and went back to work with no food and a $6 lipliner I didn’t need. At the very least they should probably tell customers calling in “hey you have to have a physical card or CASH (in 2024) to pay for your food, just a heads up so you don’t waste your lunch break driving here to leave without any food” ; But I digress. I’m hungry & irritated.

I had previously gave this location 5 stars and will transparently say that it is my favorite location out of all of them, that was just a one off huge inconvenience .

Of all of the locations in the tri-state area, this location is by far THE WORST. Rude, unprofessional, disheveled staffing. Many were dolled up, like they were going to the club. Loud, disrespectful, and very argumentative. There was an issue with the order, and Mandy, the management on site, was intent on things going HER WAY. No reasonable solution to the order issue was offered. Shame on the mess. Not only was this a bad look for Penn Station, it didn't represent Middletown well at all.

Only customer inside at 4pm - standard order. Staff was busy talking to each other & another customer that came in about 10 minutes after we ordered. Our food was ready in a whopping 25 minutes!!!! Worst service ever at a Penn Station. No apologies when we finally got it. Fries were cold.

So set my order for 2:30 pm, it was 1:47 when i placed it online. Pull up at 2:30pm waited a few mins a young lady came to the window got my name then walked away. 10 mins later a different young lady comes asks my name another 5 mins pass the original girl comes asks my name again and walks away. Finally I go in, as soon as I walk in im told my subs are comin out now. I watched that person reach over my sandwich while my sandwich sat there on the end of the oven getting cold so she could take care of 2 other ppl. Finally when they did it again an served the person that was behind me in the drive thru i had enough. The manager who was working his butt off told me they was understaffed while the original girl said its like you dont understand we make these from scratch.. That had nothing to do with them pushing my subs back and serving others. But for the record from scratch is not pulling ingredients from a container and putting it on bread. Lol they assemble subs, they dont make it from scratch.

Food would be good if they could read and pay attention, every time I order I order 2 subs 1 onion 1 no onion, every time they put the paper on the wrong one, not a big deal when eating it as a family, but when you drop the food off to family you want your sub with no onions, and not get home to a sub with onions.

Honestly extremely disappointed. My husband and I order from here often and have never had any issues with customer service or the food but today was the exact opposite. Both of my sandwich’s were messed up and when I called to tell them and I explained to her I only wanted 1 of the sandwiches fixed the employ told me that they close in 20 minutes just to keep the sandwich and come in Monday and they will make me a new one when I asked for a manager she put her on the phone and the manager told me the same thing I understand closing times but to tell me to come in Monday is ridiculous. I ordered the sandwich today because I wanted it today. Just very disappointed with the customer service.
