Fine steakhouse dining with Italian flair and warmth. The dining room is gorgeous with an elegant blend of modern furnishings in a historical building. Excellent steaks and fresh pasta. Well-curated wine list. A real gem!

Ambiance, food and staff were great, don't remember last time I was in a restaurant for more than 3 hours, it's a total experience including going after dinner to their speak easy. Is my wife favor restaurant !!! And we do travel a lot, great work Middletown.

Good service and good selections. We had the tagliatelle with bolognese which was very good. The butternut squash ravioli was actually spinach and cheese inside the ravioli with butternut squash pieces on the outside. Not what I thought I was getting but tasted good. The mushroom soup is very good as are the salads. Enjoyed a very relaxing evening with friends and not rushed out!

I travel relatively frequently to Italy. Primo did a good job of bringing Italy into an Italian-American restaurant. Nice job with the menu setup, very nice wine list. Pricey, but it was nice, and good. We will go back to expensive to go very often....

We were looking forward to finding an upscale restaurant closer to us than Jag's or Tony's, to call our “own” and looked forward to dining at Primos. Unfortunately, Primos extremely limited menu was disappointing to say the least. I am all for “doing a few things and doing them well” but this mentality did not follow suit on the meals we chose for dinner. The entrees did not include side items and the only true side offered was grilled vegetables. They suggested ordering a full pasta entree to share as your side. Salads are limited as are the dressings (sorry folks-no ranch), and on the pricey side for what you get. The steaks are cooked well, and are tender, but limited In seasoning and taste. Dining area is beautiful and classy in an architecturally beautiful building- but dress in your warmest winter clothes as it was freezing inside! The best part of the evening was the staff! They were welcoming, polite, professional and stayed very engaged. But a quick look at the dessert menu and we were further unimpressed with the options and chose to leave and find another place to round out our meal. This is NOT a family oriented restaurant. This is more for mature couples. I am sorry to say that we will not be back.

My husband made reservations 3 weeks ago for tonight to celebrate Valentines Day. We arrived 15 mins early and they said we were to early when they actually couldn't find our reservations. Manager found it and sat us. We waited over 20 mins without a single person acknowledge us or get us atleast water. Couple came in and sat next to us and was acknowledge with in minutes. My husband had to go to host and ask why we haven't been waited on. The waitress didn't realize she had a table and manager said they are human and to stay. We decided to stay. As we are ordering the waitress only took half our order from their valentine special and said she would get rest later. no biggie... my drink comes out, 10 mins later my hubby drink comes out and as she is setting it on table the other drink she had spills all over my husband and table. Ruined our date night. I do not recommend!

The food was fantastic. The only issue we had was that the staff was not as attentive as we would have expected at this price point. It took a long time in between courses to be checked on for ordering the next course. My wife's dish came out 15 minutes before mine and they forgot to bring a steak knife for the steak. But, we did not feel rushed like a normal American restaurant and enjoyed our date night.

Will never go back. Pasta was rubbery, steak was flavorless and chicken was dry. The only decent thing was the lasagna and even that was mediocre. Waited over an hour for a subpar meal that was unbelievably overpriced. Just a huge letdown for something my wife and I were excited about.

Service was excellent. The atmosphere was wonderful. The music was amazing and at a perfect sound level. We both enjoyed salad and then the Lasagna, which at first seemed to be a smaller portion size, but it ended up being very filling due to the wonderful, rich, real ingredients - it was truly DELICIOUS. The Sea salt Caramel Gelato is AWARD worthy, we will return just for that alone! Also, excellent Moscato wine!

We had a reservation at 7:45. We notified them that we were arriving 5 minutes late, on the phone they were nice and said we will have a table for you when you get here, no rush. That was not what we got! When we arrived they put us at the bar without any notice. Not even a single welcoming gesture when we arrived. Never again will I eat here nor recommend to anyone

Really? You give us terrible service so your answer is to nuke our open table reservation so I can't leave a review? Wrong answer. Terrible service. Too bad because food is actually pretty good if it's comes out hot. May return after I forget how bad it was or if we can't get in at the other fantastic Italian restaurants in area.

The best service I've had in a while. For the $69 steak (steaks are a la carte) I had.....I would have rather paid more for wagyu. It was just....a steak. The Pollo e Pasta was good, but I've had juicer chicken. The Marsala takes great but it was dry, I like a little sauce to dip the chicken in. The salads were amazing as well as the potatoes. Side note; the side of potatoes was $21....its not possible for potatoes to be as amazing as $21. For the $172 price for 2, I expected to be blown away, I was not. Half the price of sides, or include sides with the steaks.

Primos Italian Steakhouse is absolutely an incredible experience. From start to finish, you will be treated like kings and queens. The service is spectacular and the food is on another level. No preservatives are used and 90% of all their products are imported from Europe. And you can tell by taste of the food. The complementary bread that comes with olive oil and a 12 years aged balsamic vinegar, is delicious. It look 12 years to create a taste like that. Wow! Before your entree, you will be provided with a lemon sorbet palate cleanser, similar to what I had when I visited restaurants in Italy. Lastly, the tiramisu is amazing. They also have a secret bourbon bar in the back for members. Primos is one of the best kept secrets in our area and it is a dining experience you won't want to miss. I've been 4 times since it opened and I've been given the highest level of service each time. I can't stop talking about this place to family and friends. For your next special occasion, definitely pay them a visit and you won't be disappointed.
