“So I've lived here in Cincinnati for 20+ yrs. I've driven down Observatory so many times but until earlier this year (2024) I had never noticed Carl's lol. The first time I did notice it was when my girl was driving us, and it caught my eye. She was SHOCKED I had never been, so we went on a date night :-) It was fantastic! Staff was super friendly. The choices of sandwiches are insane (if it takes you a few mins to choose, I wouldn't blame you lol). I had one of their specials that day, a caprese style sandwich) and it was super fresh. Also a 3 cheese, and it was yummy (silly me I meant to order that with some ham but was so overwhelmed I forgot to ask :-D ). We will be back!“

“Ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel. They messed up my order and gave me a plain bagel with cream cheese. I didn’t notice until I got home. I would typically be bummed but it was one of the greatest bagels of all time.“

“I have been all over the country and ate at many places. This has to be the best Deli I have ever visited. You simply cannot beat this one!“

“For a quick bite this is the place. It’s uniquely located in an office building which I parked outside and walked right in without an issue. It’s quick and convenient and has plenty of seating inside. I forgot to take a picture of the food, but I kept it simple with an everything bagel and cream cheese.“

“Who doesn't love a glazed honey baked ham? Ah, but don't sleep on the roasted turkey, which is also glazed. And, they've recently added ready made ham and cheddar cheese on southern-style buttermilk biscuits. Great for a quick snack. Just heat and eat!“

“I have been purchasing Honey Baked Ham for decades never had an overcooked ham before. Until 11-24-2022. I open the package up on Thanksgiving Day, and I was pissed ! Ham brown sugar was burnt and the ham was very dry and hard. Since Covid they stopped letting you look at the hams. I called and they are taking care of it. In Over 50 years this is my first bad one! Yes I still recommend HBH!“

“This deli is delicious, and I enjoyed everything purchased. The Reuben sandwich was amazing, and the toasted bread gave an added texture that really enhanced the flavors. The creamy potato soup was good, but it could have used a little more black pepper. The fresh salads were crisp and refreshing. I've been looking for a place with large fresh salads, and this is definitely up there on my list. They also have several sweet breads, cinnamon rolls, carrot cake, and fruit pies. All the people were friendly and helpful. I'm looking forward to future visits.“
