“If you ever find yourself in Mineral City this is the place you need to go to. We went there and of course the local, Jerry, was drinking Busch lights with salt in them when we got there. We drank some PBR's, great prices and tried their Christmas drink specials. We are seriously considering going back Christmas Day for their Ladies night/steak night/DJ/karaoke and an appearance by the Grinch, and I have it on good authority the Grinch will do the worm. Amazing dive bar!!!”

“The Atwood burger is so yummy! Juicy warm burger with really yummy barbecue sauce! We had a large group of 10 people, and they were very accommodating. It was nice to sit outside and look at the beautiful view of the lake! Our server Tia was awesome and so nice!”

“their ice cream and sherbet is good but I purchased a small cone and they gave me a cone the size of an extra small the ice cream was no more than 1 inch above the cone for $3.25 I would expect more! I have gotten a small before and it was 3 times that size”

She was just as pleasant once inside, as she was while giving me the middle finger down Main street. At least the donuts were good, I guess.”

“Where to start... Seated at 5:45pm to eat dinner for my father-in-law 84th birthday as well as visiting a friend singing in the band. Our waitress Jenny was so helpful during our 2 hrs. and 10 min. wait to be served our meal. We had our 17 month old boy and a 8 yr old grandchildren with us. As you are aware, keeping a 17 month at table hungry is not a easy task. Our 8 yr. old was very patient. Our Grandson drank to much punch as they dont have any juice. Just before our dinner arrived he was crying, so i picked him up and then he vomited all over me. No problem as he was tired and hungry. We seen a number or tables served and left during our wait. Received warm salads finally. Jenny our waitress was trying her best. Meals finally arrive, my $25.00 prime rib was cold and rubber, honesty the worst I ever tried to eat as i returned it, not good. I cant remember ever returning a meal. Fries cold and my wifes T-Bone Steak cold. At this point our baby is tired and sick so my wife had Jenny box her meal to eat in car because she took baby to car. So much for us seeing our friend sing in band. We are not picky and easy to please. So much for our experience at Towpath. Never heard from management or owner during our event. Some of our meal was credited. We left and no dinner for me. Sorry to say: Not a good time for us or the Birthday Boy. We have a 45 min drive and I'm smelling like vomit. Our poor child.. I have never left a 1 star or less review, always a 1st. BTW, had reservations and ordered from the posted meal specials. You would think if its a special service would be faster, obviously not the case. Granted when we arrived Tavern was quite full, but not when we left. Good Luck Towpath as we will never return.”
