The Wooden Shoe Inn Reviews
My husband and I wanted something new for my birthday dinner so we decided to try the Wooden Shoe since we heard how great it was. We had the sauerkraut balls to start and they were magnificent. The Wooden Shoe Inn offers delightful meals, from sushi to fried chicken, worth every penny. The chicken piccata is amazing, and the monthly drinks are a must-try. The Sunday special menu is limited but cooked to order, with à la carte sides. The full bar is a plus, although fresh brewed iced tea is missing. The waitstaff is exceptional despite being busy, ensuring a fantastic dining experience. The restaurant is clean and comfortable, with a welcoming atmosphere. Guests have enjoyed dishes like Schnitzel and shrimp specials, along with house beers such as Wooden Shoe Bock. The kitchen is immaculate, and desserts like brown butter cake are highly recommended for their delicious, warm, and gooey texture. The dining experience is stress-free and friendly, making it a great spot for a relaxed meal. Although some find certain items like the $7 shrimp a bit pricey, the quality and flavor of the food make it worthwhile. Overall, The Wooden Shoe Inn remains a hidden gem with tasty food, attentive service, and a cozy environment.
