I made a reservation for a special holiday get together, but when we went to the restaurant there was a sign on the door saying closed for the holiday period. There was no notice on their website and nothing to prevent me from making a reservation on Open Table. The food might be great, but this omission in service is extremely unprofessional.

I took my husband here as part of his 60th birthday celebration. The Rhapsody has a cozy atmosphere. We both had the New York strip. It was delicious and very well prepared. The town is adorable.

Great place for a cozy upscale dinner with live music.

We had an excellent experience at Rhapsody. Our server did an excellent job. The food arrived hot and plentiful, excellently prepared, flavor and presentation.

We had a great experience at Rhapsody Restaurant in Nelsonville! The food was delicious and beautifully presented — you can tell a lot of care goes into every dish. There were a few small hiccups during our visit, including my steak being a bit overcooked and the server forgetting my salad, and the service was a little on the slow side. That said, everyone was friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere made for a really enjoyable evening. Overall, we loved it and definitely plan to come back!

We had a reservation for 5:00 p.m. and of course we arrived about 10 or 15 minutes early. They would not let us in the door until 5:00, which is their opening time. My wife wanted crab cakes and the server told us it would be quite a while because they weren't ready yet. Shouldn't that be prepared prior to opening, or at least have them available within a short period of time? Overall we weren't really impressed. I doubt we dine there again.

The food was just ok, the seafood was not fresh. The drinks were however excellent and wonderful jazz. It was my birthday and my husband put it on the reservation and not a word was said..

Nice easy going atmosphere. Disappointed in my snapper, it was over cooked and rubbery

Great service, the server was really attentive. Food was good, not great, not bad. The dishes were cooked perfectly but the lacked seasoning. The potential was truly there! 7/30/25

Food was, overall, very good. Live jazz (on certain Wednesdays) was bonus. Would certainly return!

We've been coming here from Hartville Ohio every years for the past 10 years or so. I had the Pasta Primavera with Salmon that was fantastic. We will keep coming back. Quality food ! The seasoning of the salmon was top notch

Skip it. Food not on par with the price. Poor table service. Not Fine dining. Disappointing and very expensive.

Nice restaurant. It's owned and operated by Hocking College, apparently to provide training for their students. The service was very good. Our entrées, salmon and snapper were very good, maybe a little over-seasoned. The wife substituted her rice for the baked mac and cheese. What a great decision. The mac and cheese was phenomenal! In addition to our entrées, we each had a glass of wine and shared a dessert. With tip, our total came to $125 for the two of us. For me, there were two very slight negatives. One, it took over 30 minutes from when we ordered for our entrées to be delivered to our table. Second, the country/bluegrass duo that was performing was just too loud for the tiny dining room. We sat as far from the stage as possible. But, we still couldn't hold a conversation while they were performing.
