Tonight was our first time ever visiting the mine! And we had some unfortunate events where my finance was attacked. Everyone there was so kind checking in on us, made sure we were on, and gave us a place to feel safe! The owners and bartender are absolutely amazing along with the people in there! Thank you all for such an amazing time! And their burgers are hands down the best!!!
Nice dive bar with great history. The staff and customers are very friendly. The burger is a good burger. The fresh cut fries are typical ones that are brown and soggy. Run through the cutter and straight into the fryer. In other words, not good. Can't testify to any other food, but friendly service for sure.

The food here was really good. I had the Mine Burger. It was a lot to eat with two beef patties, salami, spicy mayo, American & Pepperjack cheese, and grilled onions. But then it was covered in Colby cheese! Pure delight.
Our server was fantastic. He took great care of us and told us about the history of the Tavern, which was why we had originally been drawn to it. It opened in 1842 and served the coal miners in the area. It's still going strong, which is a testimony itself.
For me, the atmosphere was a 5 because the original tin walls and ceiling were still in place. It's small inside so might get crowded at times. We went for lunch during the week so had no problem.
This is a place I will definitely go back to with friends.
