We stayed overnight as part of Harvest Host. Our wine was wonderful, and our "small" charcuterie board was more than a meal for two. The venue is lovely and quiet. We didn't meet the owners but our hostess was warm, welcoming, and kind.
Very nice winery and event venue. There are vines on property but the main production is in Napa. That is why they have excellent wines. As a Harvest Host they offer a nice clean flat grassy area to park for the night. Directly across the street is Lala’s. A fine dining restaurant with outstanding food. We will definitely be back when we pass through Akron next time.
Stopped here in our motorhome as part of Harvest Hosts. Very nice selection of red and white wines many from their Napa Valley California winery. Nice ambience and Carrie was a gracious hostess and bent over backwards to make sure we had a great experience. I enjoyed a flight at their red wines which were very very good and my wife did the whites. We also did a small charcuterie tray which was fabulous. Highly recommend this winery. Reasonably priced with quality wines. Cheers ?
Great atmosphere and very nice red wines! Will definitely be back.
Beautiful property and Amazing Napa Valley Wines.
Feels kinda like going to a infomercial in person. The manager spills some story about who they are, along with they serve "California wine" and its soo different from other wine out there; you'll hear all about California wine several times like you've never had it before in your entire life.
Next up the wine really isn't that great, and its super expensive because its from "California", again lets hear more about California (yawn). A very small 3 flite is $15 lol, and its not even that good.
Was hoping for a good time and variety of wines, it was just ok, there are better places to go. If they had more variety and taste it would be great. I don't care much about the fact that the wine is from California, but that for some reason is a selling point, I live in Ohio so I'm interested in Ohio wine \o/
The atmosphere is nice but it's really the worst way to waste $15 for a single glass or small flite.
Great experience with wine tasting. Knowledgeable and attentive staff. Owner was present and shared the history of the property and the work that he has poured his heart into. They have Monthly tours of the mansion which I would love to have done. Relaxing just sitting on the property.
We visited this evening (our second time) and we loved it both times. I personally don’t understand the bad reviews and hope they won’t deter readers of these posts. I really like the wine and the charcuterie boards. And I also feel the prices are fine. The staff we have encountered were all fantastic. The grounds are beautiful. We will definitely be back.
Prime Vine Winery has brought a Napa Valley Estate to the Portage Lakes Area. This is not your average winery. Located on 16 picturesque acres, our very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable host attended to all the needs of our group and related it's entire storied history. The large selection of wines, served from the original carriage house, are Napa Valley originals and each are outstanding in their own variety. Enjoy the many unique events throughout the year and make this your new favorite winery. Believe me when I tell you. You will not be disappointed!
I went with a friend about a week ago, and the experience was, in a word “fine.” There was nothing wrong, staff was helpful and nice, but the atmosphere was a little… off? The wine was on average, okay, with a few that were disappointing. A few of the shareable boards we ordered were a bit of a let down, given the price, we expected some vegetables, but it was only crackers and nuts with 1-2 cheeses and a small amount of grapes. The price was honestly just overly elevated given the quality. We each ended up with a tab of about $60 a person for an experience neither of us felt was particularly worthwhile. I will say though the house itself is lovely, as well as the property, and the staff were very kind. The fault of the experience truly lies with the menu, the product, and the prices, not the people.

Stopped in to inquire about renting the venue. I was told $150 per hour, two hour minimum. Upon further inquiry I was informed that we would be required to use one of their caterers. I was displeased and told the employee that was simply painting the customer into a corner. This should be clearly outlined upon initial inquiry. I would not have known had I not asked further questions when inconsistencies appeared in the conversation. Not the venue for me!
Attended a private wedding reception at this facility. The buildings and grounds were lovely.
I just found this Hidden Gem. Beautiful atmosphere, some delicious wines and cheese and cracker board. I highly recommend it.
A beautiful peaceful setting. Perfect for a group party or a gathering of friends to a romantic evening. I love this place With a friendly knowledgeable staff, that will help you discover their wide variety of wines and spirits. 5 stars
