Friendly greeting and was seated immediately. Waitress promptly took out beverage order, served it and we ordered dinner. Food was quality we expected. We had a pleasant experience.
What a wonderful experience...We have been to the Barrel and Boar in Gahanna quite a few times so we found ourselves in Newark. We really enjoyed brunch at their Newark location. The restaurant is quaint with that old building vibe. The service was spot on - Abby is a rock star waitress. I had the Caroliner which is basically shrimp and grits with 2 fried eggs on top which was delicious. Wifie had the big breakfast which was unique but equally as delicious. This place is worthy...
Blackberry mule and pork belly and broccoli were great. Bartender (maybe named Brook) was also great. Other servers were also friendly and seemed to enjoy their job. I plan to return the next time I'm in town.
