I miss being able to order food from a human and having it delivered to the table. I understand the reason behind the changes, but I miss the nostalgia.
Food was actually better than expected it’s hit or miss with this chain. What I didn’t like was hearing the two women in the back bad mouthing an employee. It’s just rude. What if I would have known the girl you were complaining about. It went on and on and on. Karen shut up! So freaking loud too! Rude!

Basically if you dine inside, it is completely self service. The only thing you don’t do is cook your own food or make your milkshake. Our entire order was cold and tasteless. We ordered hamburgers, fries and chicken tenders. The chicken tenders looked old and re-cooked several times over. The bill was almost $25.00! They didn’t have any napkins. They called your name out when your order was ready and you went up and retrieved it. They also expected you to clean your table and discard your trash and tray. They also expected the customer to add a pre-determined gratuity to your bill. The customer does all the work! I will NEVER eat at a Steak n Shake again. We should have gone to Roosters!
