The Old Bag of Nails Pub - Newark

We're still in Ohio on our travels. Craving fish and chips. This place did not disappoint. Two huge slices of fish. Coleslaw was awesome. Just a nice feel good place. Place was clean. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Christine our server was great. Will be back there before we leave out of Ohio.

Ordered to go orders. The first 2 were the best burgers we ever had. These last 2 were probably the worst. They were over cooked and so salty. Idk what's going on there but I only ordered it this last time cuz the first 2 were so good. I mean perfect. This final time was a huge mistake. My husband is sick, throwing his guts up from both ends. He said his burger had a hint of something he wasn't sure. It didn't taste right at all. My stomach is starting to hurt very badly as well. We got it through uber eats. Would love to get our money back.

I love the variety I of food here.

Food was great-hot and delicious. Service was great. Our waitress was busy & did not miss a beat. Took our order quickly, food was fast, remembered everything & got up drink refills. We'll be back.

My experience was not good. We went to celebrate our 21st anniversary. Went spent $52 which is more than we typically spend. It was about 3:00p.m. and I ordered garlic Parmesan chicken wings. I asked my waitress if they were plain because there was no sauce visible. She offered to bring more garlic Parmesan sauce and did so but it was more like garlic butter. Even the larger half of the wing was hard and dry. In fact, I asked my waitress if they were deep fried a second time since lunch was served. Now that I'm home (and feeling disappointed), I think the waitress should have offered to replace my meal. I was hoping it would get better but it was only tolerable to eat to the last bite . Not the anniversary dinner I hope for

Fish and chips were delicious. However, had I gone to the bathroom before ordering I would have walked out!!! The stench in the hallway could gag a magot! Buy a new mop and some bleach people!

Really tasted like an old bag of nails. YUK!!! 🤢🤮

Had lunch with grandkids, the onion soup was like drinking beef broth very greasy my rib eye sandwich was like shaved beef and the bread was dripping grease,could the onions were almost raw

Great experience tonight. Easy for parking, nice atmosphere with plenty of comfortable seating. Excellent bartender and waitress. Delicious pub food.

My family went for the first time today for lunch and the food was exceptional! We had fish, chicken, shrimp and burgers everything was so delightful. The waitress was amazing and kind. Most definitely coming back.

This is my favorite place to eat. I usually eat at the Westerville location. My son takes me each Mothers Day...they treat moms with free carnation and dessert.
The food is wonderful. The waitress I had at the Newark location was very nice..she was given a nice tip. I had the endless soul and salad. The spinach salad was large and very good. I've always had a good meal at this restaurant.
