Food prices way over priced, spaghetti and meatballs was over $30 and sad to say very blah in taste, they also didn’t include salad with your meal, we were all very disappointed in that, we never ate at an Italian restaurant that didn’t serve you bread and salad with your meal, the server was very nice and we liked how they kept the same ambiance as the old Carrie Cerinos, sad to say we have been to better Italian restaurants that offered better prices and exceptional food.

The food was so so, and blah, also was way way over priced, I got the spaghetti and meatballs and it was over $30, plus they didn’t serve salad with your meal, we all thought that was quite odd, we never ate at an Italian restaurant that didn’t serve you bread and salad with your meal, the sever was nice, and we liked that they kept the same ambiance as the old Carrie Cerinos, honestly food wise the Italian village in strongsville and the spaghetti warehouse in Akron, gives you bang for your buck price wise, and the food at both places is exceptionally good.

This was our first time at Via Roma and it won't be our last. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was fantastic. I had the smoked eggplant parmesan with pasta and marinara and my husband had chicken parmesan with pasta and the white sauce. We split a caesar salad which was one of the best I've ever had. I liked that they put kale in the salad and the usual romaine lettuce. The bread was unique also. They played beautiful music of Dean Martin, Elvis, Frank Sinatra etc...

Our server was Maci. She was friendly, helpful and gave excellent service. The hostesses were welcoming also.

After dinner we went downstairs to the Grotto to take a peek. The Christmas decorations were amazing. Beautiful atmosphere.

The renovations of the old Carrie Cerinos are beautiful. We loved Carrie Cerinos and I know we will love Via Roma.

Parking: Parking was very convenient. No expensive parking fees like downtown. Safe community too.

Our client event at Via Roma was absolutely perfect, thanks to Jen Seidel, the incredible event coordinator. From start to finish , she ensured every detail was flawless. The food was fantastic, the staff was attentive and professional, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend Via Roma! We also stopped down at The Grotto on the way out and enjoyed the best Espresso Martini ever! We will be back and so will our clients!

I was talking to a manager and our server about how delicious the brussel sprouts are and they gave us a huge serving on the house!! My favorite restaurant, everything is delicious!

I’ll start with the food. The eggs Benedict were very good. The yellow was not overcooked. Our reservation was at noon. There was nothing left to eat, very unattended buffet area. The roast beef was still mooing... I was told it will cook more underneath the light. I did not want to wait two hours for it to cook under the light. No au jus…The ham was good, except I don’t eat a lot of pork. Did I mention the buffet was not maintained. Someone needs to have the job of monitoring buffet… what I searched online and pictures looked and descriptions-sounded really delicious. But food was mediocre at best. We are Carrie Cerino old faithfuls ;)
Service was excellent, and the violinist was a very nice touch. We enjoyed her music. Sorry for the negatives in this review, but we would not go back again for the Brunch……maybe dinner just to try

The dining room is warm and inviting, very pleasant atmosphere. The food was excellent, so well prepared. Our server was very young and very inexperienced. Everything she said sounded like she was reading it out of a training manual, nothing seemed genuine or personal. But if you're looking for amazing Italian food, give it a try. Kudos to the chef!

Nice to be back in a place where we had so many family dinners and celebrations. Not too much has changed inside. Cerino did a huge renovation a couple of years before close, and most of that is the same. The building is where the nostalgia ends. The food is totally different. I’m not saying that’s bad—we knew it would be different— but some of the dishes were good, others not so much. My daughter had the gnocchi with the sausage, and although it said it had a brown butter sauce, we could not detect it. It was just a bowl of dry, underseasoned components. Not very exciting. I had the gnocchi vodka, and it was very good. Our table shared the wedge and mixed greens salads, also very good. The arancini were lacking the signature cheese in the middle and tasted more like a meatball. They were very salty. Please do everyone a favor and take the Cerino name off of your white sauce dish. First off, it’s not spaghetti (dad got an overcooked penne or ziti—some tubular pasta that was gummy and soggy) and the white sauce tasted like burnt Parmesan cheese. The red sauce on the actual spaghetti was good, drinks were great. The eggplant parm was great, but that’s hard to botch.
Since everything is a la carte, it’s not cheap. Salads are big enough to split, though. Server was very nice about splitting them for us.

This is located in the old Carrie Cerino's restaurant building. Some of the decor is leftover from the old Carrie Cerino's restaurant but has been freshened up quite a bit.

This is a nice place to dine, but be warned, though, EVERTHING is AlaCarte. So this will not be a cheap meal. We had the Penne Pasta with Shrimp and the Chicken Forestiere. The food was very good and came out hot, The portions are not huge but were very flavorful. Since the meal was AlaCarte, we both ordered a salad, and I also ordered the asparagus.

We also got a 17 Layer Torte dessert to share, which also was very good. The staff was friendly and nice. If you want to celebrate something special, this could be a good choice.

Parking: Parking is steps away from the door.

I enjoyed attending Via Roma Event Center & Ristorante as it brought back many memories of attending Carrie Cerinos in the past! I was delighted that the inside looked relatively the same (minus the decor). The food was excellent. It was a little pricey, but overall, it was delicious! Our waitress was also fantastic and very knowledgeable regarding the menu! I would like to address the accessibility of the restaurant. A strong odor, which smelled like sewage, was inside, but the staff burned some plants, and the smell disappeared! This odor can be an accessibility issue for those with sensory disorders, as smells can overwhelm some. Luckily, the scent was fixed quickly, but hopefully, they can get rid of it for future guests. The restaurant's wrap-around entrance, which allows for direct drop-offs at the door, is a great feature that enhances accessibility. However, as shown in the picture below, the steep ramp could challenge those with mobility issues. The doors to the entrance are not automatic, which poses mobility issues as the door handle is vertical, not horizontal, making it inaccessible for those in a wheelchair. Overall, I understand the challenges in creating accessibility when maintaining the structure of the building; however, I feel the restaurant should warn guests that they may need extra help entering/exiting the building or with the potential for strong odors. Without providing this information, they create an inaccessible environment that can harm their customers. There is always potential for improvement in accessibility, and I hope the restaurant will consider it.
