We have ate here several times and have always loved it. On our most recent visit, there were 5 of us dining. All of us really liked our food except my husband. He ordered a ribeye steak, priced at $45, and it came out with gravy on it (huh?!) It was fatty and was not good. He only ate a couple of bites. He should have told the waitress but did not. We have gotten filet mignon at other places for less than this. Disappointing. We went down to the speakeasy after dinner and that was very cool.

Love this place has great history. Lots of original items inside the building is very old but well kept. And it's interesting that this particular place was once part of the underground railroad. Definitely a place to visit

This place was great for many years, but the new owners have changed the menu and our food came out and I was not impressed. The bartenders are very slow now and the drinks are just not the same. I feel like it’s going down hill and it’s sad to see that.

Where do I begin. Waitress didn't know what was on the menu. Claims she been only waiting on tables for a few days. Take the menue home and study it. It took 47 minutes to get our food. Asked several times how much longer. Finally spoke to a manager she Claims kitchen was behind. Told her that was unsatisfactory. Train your wait staff better. Food was ok. Not hot. Will not be back.

Apathetic service. Seat yourself, but nobody's watching the dining room, so you sit and sit and eventually have to go looking for a server... who we found screwing around with the rest of the staff at the bar and paying no attention. Overpriced but average food. Both of our orders were wrong, despite being easy. $50 for a couple of sandwiches and a Coke. So disappointing. Never again. So many much better options in the area.

My first time eating here although I’ve driven past it for forty years. I ate at the bat and had cauliflower appetizer with the shaved steak sandwich. Both were excellent. I will definitely return and recommend.

We had a reservation for 28 people and we were sat at 3 different areas in the same dining room. Food was ok according to most of our party. Some food was not hot, and some overdone. Waitresses were doing everything they could to keep drink glasses filled because 1 table in our group didn't get their food until the other two were almost done eating. Not acceptable. Hire more cooks.

The atmosphere was absolutely perfect — cozy lighting, a soft breeze drifting in from the patio, and charming holiday decorations that made it feel festive without being overdone. Everything was clean and inviting.
The food was great, though my salad came out at the same time as the main course, which threw off the pacing a bit. Our server was friendly but didn’t check in very often once.
Overall, though, it was a lovely experience and I’d definitely dine here again.

Classic hang out spot in Norton. Staff is great and the buzz you can catch there is exquisite. Also If you appreciate wood then you’ll probably even wind up with some yourself. Place was built by some good carpenters.
