The interior of the food mart has definitely changed since last I walked in, which was over 10 years ago when I was a student at the College, but that's not necessarily bad. I do appreciate how nowadays, the staff offer shipping options for their confectionaries, so now I can enjoy them from across the country. It does require me to recall from memory what they had behind the counter, though.

The person behind the counter didn't even acknowledge me when I entered the store. When they finally got around to helping me (it took forever, and the store was not busy), they acted put out, like I was bothering them by just being there. They didn't so much as smile. Don't waste your time here. Gibson's doughnuts are as dry and unpleasant as their staff.

The staff are so incredibly rude. They don't acknowledge you when you walk in. They don't bother to ask if they can help or provide any recommendations. Bro, who peed in your coffee? I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt after hearing so many negative comments from the Oberlin community, but I have to say...they're not wrong. Don't go here.

Walked in with my 3 middle school aged children and the woman at the counter didn't even say hello. As we walked around looking at the baked items, she never greeted us or asked if we needed anything.
We walked out without buying anything, and I told my children that an important lesson in life is to always provide good customer service in any line of work. If someone is rude and can't even manage to welcome you into their store, they don't want your business.

It was a nice place but we were there at 2pm on the weekend. Some of the bakegoods looked great, but tasted dry, stale, and off. A double chocolate cookie that was actually cake in a cookie shape and tasted like German chocolate cake. A big sugar cookie thing that was so dry and hard I almost choked and very hard and chewy baklava. Nothing was really well stocked like the chocolates. I understand things become stale when exposed to air, but I've been to many different bakeries at different points of the day, this stuff was just okay. Not worth the calories!

Everything is fresh and scrumptious! We will be back any time we are in the area.
The lady was very polite and even offered to let us stay for a but to let the rain outside calm down!

This is an Oberlin institution. The bakery has a nice selection of donuts, cookies and chocolates. There are other convenient items for sale as well.
Worst donuts I've ever eaten
Seriously the worst cookies I've ever eaten. I didn't know it was possible to have such a flavorless, dry, and stale cookie until today. Apparently no one working here is keeping track of how long their baked goods are sitting out. I couldn't make such a disgusting cookie if I tried. I'd sooner buy one at a kids lemonade stand off the side of the road. How is this place in business?!

Loved everything about it! Wonderful people
If Miss Havisham were a grocer, she’d be running Gibson’s.

Love this place. The staff was amazing like always
Terrible store. It was super grimy and just not somewhere you would want to buy food from. I would be fine with the level of dirt if this was a hardware store but for a store selling foodstuff it was just so disgusting. I don’t recommend.
