It was a nice place but we were there at 2pm on the weekend. Some of the bakegoods looked great, but tasted dry, stale, and off. A double chocolate cookie that was actually cake in a cookie shape and tasted like German chocolate cake. A big sugar cookie thing that was so dry and hard I almost choked and very hard and chewy baklava. Nothing was really well stocked like the chocolates. I understand things become stale when exposed to air, but I've been to many different bakeries...
Wonderful location, an institution in the area for generations. Friendly and helpful staff. Great quality at a great price. Can't say enough good things about this place and the wonderful American family that runs it.
I love this store, particularly the donuts. Whenever we go through Oberlin, we make it a point to stop.Meredith Raimondo attempted to destroy their reputation amid false allegations for personal gain, and for that, The College paid a $25mm fine.
