Slow train has been a local staple offering craft coffee and espresso beverages for many years, and my family has frequented at least once a month for quite some time now. However I must say over the last 12-18 months there has been an uprising in business, which is great financially, but has led to a decline in overall employee morale and product quality. Sometimes we are met with emotional resistance from baristas who are clearly feeling overworked and overwhelmed with the business...
Came looking for a good cup of drip coffee. Very long wait for mediocre coffee. No half and half was available on the counter, they add it for you. So it was the wrong amount for me and seemed like it was slightly sour milk, not half and half.
My bagel was cold. In fairness I ordered it “not toasted”. I would have liked it room temperature though.
The service was courteous despite how busy they were. The shop is warm and welcoming.

The staff of Slow Train and The Local are just amazing. Kind, patient, and thoughtful with your experience.
Even as a person who isn’t a big coffee fan, I can always find something to make the experience memorable.
