A few girlfriends and I came for dinner and had a wonderful time sitting on the patio. The service was attentive and friendly, and the food was delicious. We tried several dishes from the happy hour menu like the oysters, veal sandwich, and loaded fingerlings-all delicious. We also got to try the strawberries in blue salad which was one of our favorites. Dessert didn't disappoint either-we tried the brownie, creme brulee and of course-the famous donuts. Thank you Red!
The restaurant was not over crowded however, service was extremely slow. Food came out over cooked and just really hard to chew. The restaurant offered an appetizer and fresh sides along with a remake, this was ok. Still was disappointed given how much the meal was and overall quality of food & service. It was supposed to be a nice birthday dinner so, I'm a little sad about the experience.
The service and ambience was good. The food was below average. We ordered potato au gratin and green beans as our sides and they were extremely, extremely salty. We ordered three fillet and one strip, and all of the meat was over seasoned. I was excited to go to Red and try it out as a steakhouse option, but I have to say I am not sure I would frequent it in the future. I will be going back to other high-end steakhouses in downtown Cleveland.
