We really enjoyed the atmosphere. Service was friendly and fast. The food was okay. Not anything special. We had a surprise when we received the check.
A few of us ordered mixed drinks that were listed at around $9. We asked for Bulleit rather than well Bourbon. Not a select Bourbon. Mid-shelf Bulleit. Our $9 drinks went to $20. We expected an up charge but not $11 up charge. This might be something worth mentioning to your patrons. We would have stuck with well.
We had two dinner salads, two orders of pasta, no appetizers or dessert, five mixed drinks for $230 plus tip. As much as we enjoyed Cru we probably won’t be back. We have a limited dining budget. We need a little more for our money.

Watch the price per pour. $$$$$$$$$$$$
I worked here the food is way over priced the girl joan who runs the place is extremely rude to the workers. She told me when I was serving that she didn't think retraining would help me even though I had only been trained for two days. And had no bartender experience at the time because I made 2 drinks wrong. Because I wasn't trained well mind you I'm serve safe certified and management certified and I have ran my own stores. Def wouldn't recommend eating here it is a rip off the wine is good and the GM is super rude. Oh and they never split the tables evenly so that you all make the same ount of money they give you two or three tables so you make like 40 bucks a night while they make hundreds. Even if you stay and help duri a party they never give you extra tips. They split 200 dollars a piece and gave me 30 and I worked two parties. Joan thinks she can do whatever she wants she should be fired. That's not how you run or manage a store

I don't even know where to start ! This place is amazing. The stuffed jalapenos, and ceaser salad was phenomenal. We had the Cajun Alfredo and the filet mignon , the wine selection is great , the atmosphere, this restaurant is doing things right ! I highly recommend.

If you are allergic to black pepper be forewarned. It is impossible to ask for no black pepper in your food. I told the waitress no black pepper and still had a reaction. (I think they really tried but missed the mark.)

I always like it. It's unique to Oxford and you don't have to be surrounded by selfies and duck faces. Fact.

Terrible slow service and poor management responsiveness. Food was not good at all. Whole group was really disappointed
Decent food and very good wine and the space is ok. Probably due to being in a college town the food was lacking a little. Our server, Brendan, was very nice and accommodating but not formally trained. Still, probably the best spot in Oxford.

Very good food great atmosphere, they were pretty busy so the service was a bit sub par, understandably. Overall highly recommended

I am amazed. I went tonight to find they had changed their whole menu and took of their only vegan option. I asked the waitress if they had anything vegan and she asked the chef. The chef personally came out to talk to me and asked for my dietary restrictions and preferences. The meal was SO GOOD! He also made a SECOND meal assuming the first wouldn’t be good. I left Cru with a bottle of parducci, an entire meal, leftovers of the first meal and a very happy heart!
Delicious food! Chicken and Shrimp Quesadilla app was amazing! Lemon Chicken with Gnocchi was amazing too! Relaxed vibe and pleasant staff. Highly recommend!
Great atmosphere and great wine at good prices. Unfortunately, there isn't a single vegetarian entree, and only one appetizer that doesn't have meat in it (aside from a pretzel). Obviously, vegans are _really_ out of luck. It just seems odd these days, for upscale place that isn't a BBQ joint. It is a big world out there. Not everyone eats meat in every meal, and vegetarians/vegans need a more balanced diet than lettuce. Still, it's a great wine bar!
We went to Cru for wine and dinner and loved it so much that we went back again the next night! The pork chop was amazing, the service was top notch, and the wine was wonderful!
Came here with my family while we were moving my sister into her dorm and, boy, was that a rough dinner.
We felt like as soon as we told the waitress we weren’t ordering drinks, we were sort of left to rot, even though we each ordered appetizers and entrees. Our server never checked on us or refilled our waters until she was clearing our table.
This was the loudest restaurant I have ever eaten in, which is typically not a complaint of mine, but even though it was not that busy when we came in, we left in true physical pain from the decibel level. That part wasn’t your fault because I think it would have been rude for your staff to have told the table of six obnoxious diners on the other side of the restaurant to shush, but I just wanted to include that for anyone with sensitive ears; if people get a little drunk and belligerent and start to get loud here, which isn’t atypical for Oxford, the sound is amplified so horribly that it’s almost unbearable.
We came in completely starving and were still disappointed in our food. My crab cakes were okay, but the coleslaw that came with them was not only room temperature but WARM and the asparagus risotto (which I was so excited for) was so flavorless and dry that I questioned whether or not I had actually just been given white rice.
