We opted to sit in the air conditioned bar and enjoy getting to know the regular customers. Loved the friendly staff and fantastic service! In addition, there is a cool shaded beer garden area out back. Will definitely recommend visiting this historic tavern and definitely look forward to returning in the future to catch the live music ! Shout out to our amazing bartender Evan!!!

Stopped in for a break while on a motorcycle ride. Quaint little place, friendly atmosphere. Servers were very hospitable. Biker friendly!

Ordered from this place for the first time with grubhub. I ordered chicken tenders and cheese fries. Everything arrived cold. The fries were stale on top of being cold. The chicken was dry, tough to chew, and had little to no flavor.

Definitely not like it use to be. No one was friendly. It was like we were invisible. Bartender would barely talk to us. Not crowded on Friday night.

My friends and I come here to get dinner often because the atmosphere is great. The service is very hands-off but friendly--I think this is a good thing, though. No one pressures anyone to pick something off the menu quickly and we can eat at our own pace. It’s nice being able to just order when you want. Also, the menu is extensive. I recommend supporting the Hitching Post.
