Disappointing Service and Poor Communication: I recently stopped by Oxford Donut Shoppe hoping to pick up some sweet treats for the kids at home. The shop looked charming, and I was excited to support a local spot. I walked in with a friend on my AirPods and even snapped her pictures of the delicious-looking donuts. When I asked the young man at the counterâLoganâhow much a mixed dozen would cost, he told me $18. I said great and carefully picked out my selection. Once we got to the register, I proceeded with my phone to pay using tap, since I had left my wallet at home. Thatâs when Logan informed me they donât accept Apple Pay. I mentioned I was using Android Pay, hoping it would lighten up the moment or even work, but he firmly said, âNo tap.â There were no signs anywhere stating that tap pay wasnât accepted, which would have helped avoid the situation entirely. I told Logan Iâd quickly run home, put away some cold groceries, and be right back to payâwith my wallet. I returned about 10 minutes later and stood at the counter, waiting to complete my purchase. Logan was helping another customer but saw me walk in. He didnât acknowledge me at allânot even a quick âIâll be right with you.â Instead, he told the customer heâd ring them up first, acting as if I hadn't just been there minutes earlier. When it was finally my turn again, he rang up the same donuts I had chosen earlierâbut this time, the total was $20. I asked what changed, and Logan insisted he had said $20 from the start. I was confused and frustratedâespecially since my friend was still on the phone the entire time and heard the original $18 quote. Instead of owning the mistake of mis-speaking or not ringing up correctly the first time. I asked for a recipe and he gave me a piece of paper with the shop's address on it. Logan deflected and called over a co-worker to handle the rest of the interaction. She couldn't print off and itemized receipt but gave me one that shows 20 dollars on it.
Mistakes happen. But what bothered me most wasnât the $2 differenceâit was the way it was handled. There was no professionalism, no basic courtesy, and no effort to acknowledge me as a returning customer who had already been halfway through a transaction. What couldâve been a positive experience turned sour due to poor communication and an avoidable display of indifference. I left feeling dismissed, and unfortunately, I donât plan to return.

Love Oxford Doughnut Shoppe! Started going regularly again after the reopening with the new owners. They are always super friendly and they're absolutely killing it! You can't beat the glazed(my husband LOVES when they open at night, which they announce on Facebook, and you can get a fresh dozen for dessert and have some leftover for breakfast), but you can't go wrong with anything they make. I'm not typically a cake donut fan but theirs are super tender, would definitely reccomend. I also love that they carry Mullen's Dairy flavored milk, great added bonus!

Heard this place was reopened with a new owner. Stopped on today only to find extremely high prices and they don't have coffee. Why would you open a doughnut shop with out coffee. I mean how hard is it to set up a coffee pot.
Starting out to be just as dysfunctional as the last time. $16 for 7 doughnuts is ridiculous! My last trip for sure!

Great place for a quick doughnut run. Excellent doughnuts and a good selection, even at 9am. There are tables if you want to sit and enjoy the morning sugar rush before getting your day started. Recommend this place highly.
