A True Italian Gem in Oxford.
Step into Paesano’s and you’ll feel like you’ve discovered a little slice of Italy right in the heart of Miami University’s backyard. The food? Bellissimo! Everything from the classics to the chef’s specials bursts with authentic flavor. Sure, chicken parm is always a faithful standby—but here’s my tip: venture beyond the “old reliable.” The chef’s menu is where the real magic shines, and you won’t be disappointed.
A quick word of advice: seating is limited and so is the parking. Plan ahead! If you’re dining before 8:00 p.m., you’ll need to feed the meters (they’re free after 8 p.m., and all day Sunday). But trust me, it’s worth every quarter dropped into the meter once that first bite of pasta, parm, or pizza hits your taste buds.
Paesano’s isn’t just dinner—it’s an experience. Call ahead, bring your appetite, and get ready for an evening that ends the Italian way: Cin-Cin!

We love Paesano's food. Everything here is delicious. But the place is small so when students are in town, it can be a challenge to get a table. But it's worth the wait!

Really bad pizza margherita and calamari (both were floppy/soggy and dripping with oil).We felt sick after eating these appetizers and just decided to leave.

Their website doesn’t say anything about a reservation the rude little girl inside said you had to call but the website says nothing to that effect!!
I just go to-go food to take back to my apartment and enjoy. The order was ready in 5 minutes and the bartender who helped check me out was extremely kind and personable. She said she put utensils in the bag in case I was going to study at the library for exam week. Its the little things that matter. She then proceeded to ask me if I was a senior and wish me luck. Thank you, Paesano's!
Authentic little Italian restaurant.
The place was fine, but some customers were talking too loudly, which made it hard to enjoy the atmosphere.

The lovely owners agreed to feed our women’s basketball team and staff (25+ people) on one day’s notice. We went to pick everything up and it was so wonderfully labeled and organized. Amazing service!
The food was delicious, too!
Great little restaurant right across from campus. I had the best Chicken Marsala and risotto. Really delicious. They have several gluten free options as well. We will be back.
Solid food, some brutal service. I wanted to eat here for Valentine’s Day, and looked all over their website for any reservations. It explicitly said no reservations, call ahead only. So I waited until 5 when they open to call ahead. Apparently they take reservations for 3 days of the year. They should put that on the website, since now most places would be full. And when I called ahead, I wanted to let them know that the website only mentioned call aheads. And whoever answered took a very poor tone. Update, they do mention the 3 times that they take reservations on their website, it’s not easy to see. I will go from 1 to 3 stars.
This little spot is awesome. The food is yummy and although not cheap, it is competitive with current restaurant pricing.
Great food, fantastic server, pleasant but somewhat basic atmosphere. Veal Alla Parmigiana had a slight off aroma but tasted good still. Side spaghetti and house salad were nothing special but adequate. Cheesecake was HEAVENLY!
Celebrated my birthday here late with my grandmother, and despite no longer accommodating for birthdays, they did their best to make an exception for us. Very very kind and determined service. Support local business!
