I had already read several great reviews about El Potrero, so when my husband and I were deciding where to go for date night, this was the perfect place that was local to us in Oxford, not overpriced, super friendly, family owned and the food was amazing. My husband was super excited they had birria street tacos, which you can't get many places around here because they slow roast the meat for several hours. You can tell the complimentary chips are made fresh and are light and airy with great flavor to go with their salsa. We also got the cheese dip, which had a nice hint of spiciness. Our other dishes with shrimp and chicken came out quickly and was hot and the rice was also light and flavorful. The whole staff, which seemed to be mostly family were very attentive and took the time to talk with us about how they came to open the restaurant and meet the needs of the community. Will definitely be back especially to try the desserts, which we were too full to try.

Food is so good and tasty the food was amazing but the way everything Tasted amazingly great she staff was so nice and very clean and by the way they have DoorDash for the people that they do not want to leave threre home and you are looking for a good place to eat like lunch is breakfast of even dinner threre it is I have to be honest they are so nice they greet you the second you walk through the door that is when you feel the good energy ✨???

Wow! What a hidden gem!!!! They turned the bank into an adorable small restaurant. The food is amazing! Family ran. This is a must try!!!

I've been an El burrito loco patron exclusively since I've moved to oxford almost 10 years ago.
(Everything else was always just sub par comparatively). Well not anymore! This place is great. Friendly/quick service in a family atmosphere with a modern feel. The food is made to order and always delicious. They also just recently started table service which is a plus
(free chips and salsa). Stop in and you won't leave disappointed.

Paid over 60 dollars for three people. The corn and beans seem straight from the can, with no seasoning. A $9 dish at Chipotle is considerably better than here. The owners were less than polite and helpful in explaining the dishes and how to order. Maybe because they saw my party speaking Spanish. I saw how they treated native English speakers much better. Sorry, but I am not coming back.

The prices of this great food make it tough to give 5 stars. It tastes great and all fresh prepared, it just doesn't have value as it's near $20 a person for lunch.
