One of Painesville’s best. Food is real and good, most everything made in house. High quality sandwiches, I wake up craving multiple items (the outlaw sandwich lives rent free in my head). Frappes are out of this world good. The blonde woman that brings the food out is so kind and always takes a moment to genuinely thank the customer. Amazing place

1922 Coffee is one of those spots that just feels right every time we stop in. It’s family-owned here in Painesville, and you can tell there’s care behind everything they do. My girlfriend usually goes for an iced caramel macchiato while I switch it up between a chai latte, tea, or something hot or cold depending on the day. No matter what, the drinks are always smooth and flavorful.
The food menu holds up just as strong—everything we’ve tried has the same quality and attention as the coffee. The shop itself has a welcoming vibe that makes it easy to settle in, whether it’s a quick stop or a sit-down moment. For anyone who appreciates a local coffeehouse done right, 1922 absolutely nails it.

We stopped by 1922 after a hike at a nearby trailhead and were blown away by the experience. We tried as much of the menu as we could — five drinks between three people, and it all came out to under $20. The vibes were awesome, and the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. A younger guy working there even took a moment to chat with us and offered a sample of his special smoked steak. Great service, friendly people, and a spot we’d absolutely come back to. Highly recommend!
I didn’t even go in today, but I’ve been there in the past and always had great service.
My mother in law brought me a pork-tado today and I swear to god it healed something in my soul.

Our breakfast sandwiches were wonderful! I also highly suggest the iced coffee and dreamsicle frappe, super tasty treat on a hot day. We came in on fathers day and they were closing at noon so the employees could enjoy the holiday, they were about to close in 15 minutes but were kind enough to whip us up some food to go. While we were waiting for our food the owner (I think) was kind enough to toss us some of their pastries for free. She gave us a couple of what I think were s'mores cookies and a cinnamon swirl or french toast muffin. I'm saving the muffin for our daughter but the cookies were so soft and rich. We live on the west side of cleveland and only come out to painsville to camp out with some friends on occasion, but 1922 will be our last stop before heading home every time we come out.
