I would give zero stars if that option was available. The food was not great. The service was worse. Our server was rude and was ready for us to get out the moment we sat down. I regret leaving a tip.

We had potato skins for appetizer. They were great! I ordered chicken parmesan. Didn't like it. Didn't eat it. I had onion rings instead of linguini which came with the meal, (waitress said only pasta they had was linguini. We were with friends. One if them had mostachelli with his dinner. Humm.....go figure. Onion Rings were terrible, not crispy, no taste. My husband had the prime rib. It was great! I wish I ordered that. We won't be going back.

Do not order the pork and sauerkraut. Husband said it was tough and the sauerkraut was cold. My 8 oz filet looked nothing like an 8 oz. Filet should look but it did taste okay. Very overpriced for what you got

Made reservations....we asked for a warm table as ...its c old outside...the hostess promised us a warm area...we were seated...the hostess brought our drinks...then a long gap till she came back to take our dinner order...and it was starting to get real cold..I asked her to turn the heat up...then another long gap till we got our dinner...and I asked her to turn the heat on again...my dinner got so cold I couldn't eat it...I had to eat my dinner with my coat on...also my dinner looked like a child's portion...then she came back again ...I looked at the thermostat in the room and it was 62°..when we asked for our tab...she said that the manager was going to turn the heat on...she was generously tipped..because...we wanted her to know that we are good people...but will NOT be back!!!!!!

We had our family Thanksgiving event there recently and we were very impressed with everything. They were very accommodating and very easy to work with. They were flexible and We were able to use a private room that was decorated very nicely. The food was great and we were very impressed with everything. I went here tonight with my wife. I ordered the chicken parm, it was not good. I’m surprised that they charge almost $30 for this meal. The problem isn’t the price it’s how bad the meal was. I won’t be back.

I moved to the Mentor/Painesville area 6 years ago. I was seeing crowds at this restaurant all the time. I finally had the opportunity to go last night. I was extremely disappointed and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The first thing I noticed when walking in to the restaurant was the stench. It smelled like a musty grandparents house that desperately needed cleaning. I was expecting a touch of class when looking at menu but there was none. The menu didn't match the website and when I inquired about the scallops I was told they were no longer on the menu. I was again disappointed. One of our salads had a rotten tomato on it. The prime rib lacked flavor around the outside. My baked potato came with nothing on it. Again hugely disappointed. The last thing that left a terrible taste in my mouth was my waitress boxed up my leftovers for me. I would have much rather boxed them up myself. Everyone talks about this place like it is so great. I truly don't see the allure. I will not be coming back ever again for overly priced food that is fair at best.
We did carry out after a Soft ball game - best sandwiches! Also attended a Baby shower- room to rent is nice and service and food were great.

Made reservations a few days in advance for dinner and to enjoy a live music venue. When we got there we were told we could grab a table outside. Ended up way in the back corner (barely a view of the band), then waited 15 min for just water/drinks Waitress was very nice and stated she would be back 3 times to take our order. . Never ended up ordering or staying because it was then over 30 minutes till she came back over. It was way understaffed for an event like this! Was looking so forward to it and it was terribly disappointing!

We decided to make reservations for yesterday evening to listen to a great band and enjoy dinner. Only thing disappointing about this event is management who didn’t properly prepare for this evening. Staffing issues and over 30 minute wait time for even a water. Decided to skip dinner and leave. Another long time resident of Painesville won’t be returning. Time for some updates to restore this historic building.

Went to see a band here that we love. Found a table outside to accommodate the group. Went to the bar to get a drink. After quite a wait I finally got a beer. Went back up and again waited FOREVER. I was told at that point that the servers take care of the tables and they don’t really have a bartender. Okay, well, could you send someone over to our table? 40 minutes later and no one had come over. Went inside to get a drink thinking it might be faster. WRONG! The service sucked equally as bad in there. And the servers weren’t even nice! I don’t really blame them, it is obviously poor management. My advice to the owner: when a band comes that brings a crowd have a bartender or two behind the bar or have more servers to take care of the tables. Such a disappointment!!
