This is the cutest diner I have ever been too. It's a small little place but I will tell you, the burger I had was the best burger I've eaten in a very long time. I live about 40min away from there but I'll be going back for sure, many times!

Seems like a reliable little dinner. Nice small city vibes. The staff was very nice and the service was good. I would definitely eat there again.

**“I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years, and today was honestly the most disappointing experience I’ve ever had. The service was rude from the moment we ordered our breakfast. Then we get home and BOTH meals have black hairs in them.
When we called, Patrice — who said she packed the food — acted like we had no right to be upset. The attitude was unbelievable, almost like we were bothering her by pointing out something completely unacceptable.
We asked for the manager, and the response we got was just as dismissive, like the whole situation was a joke to them.
Check your food between every bite, because apparently we had to. After years of coming here, this was beyond disappointing.”**

Unsuspecting and delicious home cooked style meals. Sammy’s serves up generous portions, great service, and an old fashioned diner style vibe. We ordered the steak and eggs and the pancake breakfast combo . Both were made well and had great flavor ! We left satisfied and wanting to return to try the lunch menu in the future . Lunch menu featured items from handhelds like a Monte Cristo or Rueben to entrees such as liver and onions or meatloaf. Prices were low, especially for the generous portions! Thanks for a tasty and pleasant brunch outing ! Check them out if you’re in the Grand River area!

I have been to Sammy's three times. Two times I ordered the beef liver and onions. The third time I ordered eggs and pancakes. The service is outstanding! The servers are friendly and attentive.
I like the atmosphere. There is no canned or live music playing. You hear the sounds of staff and other patrons conversing. The restaurant is old, small, but clean. The inside is nicer than the outside. Most of the patrons are older and locals of Grand River.
The food is good. The liver and onions was a generous serving with plenty of onions. The bean soup is too salty. I could not taste the beans because of the salt. The carrots are mushy.
The senior dinners come with the main entree, soup, salad, and dinner roll for $9.99. Drinks and dessert are extra.
Overall, all three visits were positive. I will return.

Pretty good perch dinner included soup AND salad AND dessert. Wife got the texmex breakfast which was delicious. Our waitress was attentive and we enjoyed chatting with her. The bill was $35 before the 20% tip.

My friend and I had breakfast here this morning. Neither of us had ever been here and we were pleasantly surprised. The place was homey, we were able to seat ourselves right away and the servers were very nice and efficient. I had the homemade corned beef hash which was the best hash I've ever had. Not only that, I asked for over medium eggs and they were perfect. It seems many find it hard to make eggs that have yolks that are still runny, but all of the whites are fully cooked. My friend had oatmeal and sausages and liked it as well. We were not a fan of the coffee, but I can't really think of any casual spots like this that have good coffee. Would love it if they had some good, grainy bread for toast instead of the cotton bread. Maybe I will try the rye next time. All in all a really lovely breakfast and we will be back for sure.
