Bacchus Lounge is great. Attached to Russo’s restaurant but with a different and more relaxed menu. Their drinks are so strong and delicious! We loved going there prior to Covid, and are patiently awaiting the reopening of this part of the business. Russo’s is open and we’ve gotten some incredible carry out from them, but I miss Bacchus. My gosh their pizza is homemade and some of the best I’ve ever had! When they have their Mardi Gras menu, I highly recommend!
We were very skeptical walking into Bacchus Lounge. We had seen a newspaper clipping from back in January 2019 boasting their gumbo and creole cuisine. However, upon walking in it looked like more of a bar. Very laid back, old looking tables. Nothing fancy. The restaurant in the front is more fine dining but that is not really our style. This is not the first time I have been there, but the last time was pre-Covid. The menu is mouth watering, but nothing quite lives up to it's description. The service was nothing short of horrendous, and to top it off, we had to spend another 10 miserable minutes in the way too warm restaurant, trying to get charges removed for things we never had or ordered. Never again.
