This is not the first time I have been there, but the last time was pre-Covid. The menu is mouth watering, but nothing quite lives up to it's description. The service was nothing short of horrendous, and to top it off, we had to spend another 10 miserable minutes in the way too warm restaurant, trying to get charges removed for things we never had or ordered. Never again.

Bacchus Lounge is great. Attached to Russo’s restaurant but with a different and more relaxed menu. Their drinks are so strong and delicious! We loved going there prior to Covid, and are patiently awaiting the reopening of this part of the business. Russo’s is open and we’ve gotten some incredible carry out from them, but I miss Bacchus. My gosh their pizza is homemade and some of the best I’ve ever had! When they have their Mardi Gras menu, I highly recommend!

We were very skeptical walking into Bacchus Lounge. We had seen a newspaper clipping from back in January 2019 boasting their gumbo and creole cuisine. However, upon walking in it looked like more of a bar. Very laid back, old looking tables. Nothing fancy. The restaurant in the front is more fine dining but that is not really our style. We were craving something like a bistro or brewery type of feel. Walked into what was more like a laid back bar & gril . Was very skeptical as the menu ranged from pizza to entrees like grilled pork chop with jambalaya.Needless to say, we were pleasantly surprised. The gumbo, grilled pork chop, jambalaya, and collard greens were fantastic. Great flavor that definitely does not match the subpar decor. Could use some renovations.

The fresh oysters were delicious ... but the rest of the food was terrible... we had fried green tomatoes, quesadilla, and jambalaya croquettes... we told the waitress... she said sorry... but didn’t fix anything. We usually love this place.... no idea what was wrong tonight... seemed like OLD dirty oil in the fryer. So sad.

Weird place. Meat and cheese plate was good but meat was cut so thick it was chewy but flavorful. New bartender was very nice but 3 waitresses stood around talking while he worked and they only had 6 tables, 3 that had people.

Gumbo was good. Liked the Caesar salad with chicken too.

Went there for some Oysters and martinis...they make very good dirty martinis but the rest of the food was awful and totally overpriced! $15 for 6 tiny oysters...are you kidding me? I also ordered the Pork chops...worst pork chop I’ve ever had, they were so salty they were almost inedible. I’m surprised this place has lasted this long? I won’t be back

What a disappointment tonight. We have had many pleasant meals here and so picked it to celebrate our anniversary. Everything was below expectations from the beginning. We made reservations at the bar, ordered a nicer than usual bottle of wine. The server seemed generally irritated we were even there. Pleasant to others we figured were regulars. Not helpful and just generally surly. Food was not up to usual par. Dropped a bit of coin here and did not feel we got our worth. Probably will not be at the top of our list any longer.
