Food was good. I'm told the 14 oz ribeye was cooked well and had good flavor. The Caesar salad had chicken added and was red on the edges. I'm sure the center of the meat was cooked to temperature, but because of red inside the chicken it wasn't eaten. The dessert selection was ok, nothing spectacular. We felt the staff was too attentive, to the point of being intrusive.
5 Star review! Atmosphere was wonderful, waiter and waitresses were excellent and knowledgeable. We will definitely visit again!

We got the butchers block for two. Filet was undercooked and cold. Cowboy ribeye was overcooked, tough, and not 24oz. Pretty disappointing for a $195 meal for two. Only thing that was great was the feta dip, but asked the server for extra bread to go home with and never got it. Overall disappointing experience and food especially since in the past we've always had substationally better experiences.

had a date night with my girlfriend after she had her daughter, 3 weeks post partum! Nick G. was our server and was fabulous! He was friendly, great sense of humor, very tentative and make our experience great. Food was amazing!!! We both had a chefs way filet and it was cooked to perfection. Can't wait to come back for the food and service from Nick!!
We were sat immediately, waiter was polite and attentive. Food was very good. Will return.
We enjoy Benchmark but compared to their first year service is not as good and if you can believe it so are their steaks. That first year you could taste that they seasoned their steaks but the last few times I have gone not much seasoning...but if you order their butters or smothered in sauces like Chefs way it is much more flavorful but we go to steak houses for steaks not their steak sauces. When i ordered the tomahawk a while back I got the last cut or the first cut it was not center cut the cap was non-existent and just this past Saturday the Cowboy ribeye was the same...no cap this time. You would expect center cut steaks for that price. Finally stay away from their eggplant ravioli...pasta was cooked well but the rest was not very desirable to look at or eat. Italian food not their strong suite. Oysters rockefeller and scallops were delicious and so was the dubai chocolate creme brulee.
First time going to Benchmark and with the high prices I was expecting a wonderful experience but it was terrible. The waiter made us wait for almost 15 minutes before coming to the table and didn’t even great us. The French onion soup had about a shot worth of broth, the chicken was bland and almost tasted like it was boiled, the Brussels had none of the sauce the menu said it was glazed in. My friend ordered a steak chef’s way but only after it came and we flagged down the waiter did he tell us “oh I didn’t tell you, because of tariffs we don’t have any blue crab.” Seriously the only thing tasty was the wine. And that was hard to enjoy because the tables have zero privacy with the opening between booths and the next table listening to every word you say. For a table of 4 to spend $350 it was definitely not worth it. Go to The Standard on Monroe St. I’ve never been disappointed, food, staff, and atmosphere.

The food is outstanding. Two in our party ordered steak, one sea bass and one pork loin. All were more than satisfied with the food. Our server was awesome - very informed and helpful. The noise level when the place is full makes it difficult to carry on table conversation. As the evening wound down it was less busy and much easier to converse. Value is difficult to gage and different for all. It's a minor example, but i personally feel that $12 for a pint of craft beer is a bit excessive. The food is pricy, but outstanding.
Everything about this place was amazing from our waiter Nick to the food this is definitely a place me and my husband would definitely come back to when you walk in everyone greets you and everyone is so friendly a great way to spend your anniversary 🫶🏼

My husband and I have celebrated several events here over the years. The service is always the best, and food is amazing. My only complaint is how massive the tables are and when it starts getting loud it's hard to hear the person across that huge table from you. But we will always come back. The food and service is the best of anyplace we've been in NW Ohio.
My husband and I go to Benchmark every year for our anniversary and we have always have great service and great food. Would recommend giving it a try.
My Wife and I celebrated our 41st Anniversary here and experienced an exceptional level of customer service. Our waitress (Riley S.) as well as the rest of the team members and management greeted us warmly and the food was excellent. Bacon wrapped Scallops and a 20 oz. Porter house steak were outstanding. The staff explains the origin and selection of the menu items and these are generous portions that 2 can easily share. desert (Rum Cake w/ vanilla Ice Cream) could easily be a new favorite. Many special favors extended as well.Absolutely will be back
We drove an hour and a half to dine at Benchmark, we have eaten here before and the experience was wonderful. Their food, their desserts all take a life of their own. Each has a detail that makes them incredible delicious. We came here to celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary, and your staff and Marcus our waiter made us feel right at home. The staff checked on us throughout our meal, making sure that we were taken care of. This restaurant and its staff are outstanding. 5 stars for service, food, and fine dining. Thank you all for a wonderful anniversary.
We were really looking forward to our dinner at Benchmark, and while the food itself was quite good, the overall experience left much to be desired. Our server was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, which we appreciated, but unfortunately, the service was painfully slow. It took over two hours just to get through an appetizer and entrée, which really put a damper on the evening. By the time our food arrived, it was disappointingly cold, which took away from what could have been a great meal. The portion sizes were generous, but that didn't quite make up for the long wait and the temperature of the dishes. Given the slow service and the quality of the food not matching the price point, we didn't feel the experience offered good value. Hoping this was just an off night, but we left feeling underwhelmed. Perhaps our expectations were too high as we frequently dine at fine dining steakhouses throughout the country, and had heard such good things about Benchmark.
