“It was my first time in Ohio and read about this place. Stopped in and had an amazing conversation with the owners. They were unfortunately closed due to technical issues but offered me a free Sample platter for my troubles. It was one the sweetest acts of kindness I’ve experienced in so long. The real selling point was the food though. The brisket was juicy and flavorful and the greens were the best I’ve ever had. Looking forward to coming back and trying the a jerk chicken.“

“We had our first visit to Hickory House Reynoldsburg tonight and the dinner was phenomenal! We ordered the Barbecue Platter and the pork, ribs and chicken were all fantastically seasoned. And the Mac and cheese-what is this magic?!? That may be the best Mac and cheese I have ever tasted!!! We loved our dinner so much we ordered a whole other platter to go. Kelly was our server and she explained the menu options very well which made ordering simple and easy. She was also so enjoyable to chat with. All in all, fabulous food and fantastic service. We will definitely be back!“

She checked on the table next to ours 3 times and refilled their drinks before she got to ours. No veterans discount even though I wore a vet hat and Army polo shirt. poor. just poor this time. usually very good.“

“Happened upon this restaurant from a video my son saw on tiktok about “hidden gems”. Hidden gem couldn’t be more appropriate! Being part Hawaiian, I’ve struggled to find good Hawaiian bbq outside of Hawaii or Florida. This place is amazing and in Ohio! I ordered the bbq combination platter. The bbq short ribs and bbq chicken were delicious! Authentic Hawaiian bbq flavor! The Mac salad, which of course is a staple in Hawaiian bbq cuisine was pretty spot on! My son had the chicken katsu and he loved it! Quiet atmosphere and wasn’t busy. Will definitely be coming back!

Parking: Parking lot was large. Restaurant shared parking lot with several other businesses in the strip.“

“I found Ron's BBQ on Google. After several price checks found Ron to be the fairest price. Ron's BBQ provided 20 slabs of ribs for our daughter's baby shower. Ron made the process very easy with different payment options. Customer service was great, they were attentive, kind and professional, giving us multiple pricing quotes. As far as reviews, I can't say there are many nor were they descriptive. I didn't see pictures on Google either. We were also unable to do a taste test, so we went into a contract on blind faith. I definitely recommend Ron for your catering needs. Not only is the food delicious but it was smoked to perfection. The rub didn't overpower the taste, the sauce provided complimented the ribs and you could taste and enjoy the meat. And did I mention so tender, it felt like cutting into butter. Everyone at the party was in agreement with the taste and overall look of the food. Unfortunately, the ribs were a really big hit and I didn't get a picture either 😞. I was too busy answering questions about Ron's BBQ and listening to praises of how delicious they were. If you don't feel like slaving over the stove or grill, remember Ron, you won't regret it.“
