This place had the best bruschetta I've ever eaten by far. The filet was very good aswell perfectly cooked it has a nice char on the outside while still being juicy. My server David was excellent. Very nice establishment I arrived just as they were opening up would return if I am ever in Port Clinton again.

NEW CHEF AND MANAGER. We've gone here for years...always very good. We returned recently to learn of a new chef. I tried the Lobster Al Forno and then the spagetti last night. My goodness...both were even better than usual. The greeters and wait staff are also very tuned up. Well done Ciao Bella! We'll be back.

Four of us went for lunch after going to the Holiday Market in Catawba. The menu had a lot of options. We decided on the special pick 2. There are a lot of great options for the pick 2 like soups, salad, pizza, pasta, sandwiches. We all ordered the salad (three different types) and the pasta (you can pick from different pasta types). Also three ordered wine and I ordered a sangria flight which was excellent!! The service was a little slow in getting our bread but the server was very nice. I would definitely recommend Ciao Bella.

I recommend them because I have always loved going, but last night was awful. We were with friends, who were only there for the 2nd time. It has been almost a year, and they couldn't wait to come back! Very disappointed, our waitress must have been new because she didn't seem to know the specials and the special board did not match the menu. I wanted the special on the board, pointing to it but without the other proteins, she went back to ask the chef (who was obviously thinking of the menu special) and said it was fine. My friend wanted the same thing but with all of the protein. A few minutes later, the waitress came back and told my friend that the special wasn't available. I asked about me and she thought I wanted the current special, so I picked something I knew was on the menu (not really wanting it after being excited for the special) and my friend ordered Salmon medium. When dinner came out, somehow my friend had scallops topped with risotto, which they said they didn't have. So, my friend waited 15 minutes, while we were all eating to have Salmon come out raw in the middle. So, I asked to see a manager and she came over and we explained the situation and she had the salmon made for my friend AGAIN...it was cooked right but was half the size of the original undercooked salmon. Good thing she took that off their bill! She offered us gelato, but we just wanted to leave. The waitress gave us the wrong bills and they gave me $1.90 off my bill for having to order something else. Hopefully they want to come back, because it has always been our favorite. We will be traveling and reviewing restaurants across Ohio soon, hopefully this makes it on our list.

I don't have enough words to say how great this place is. If I were a local I would be there in regularly.

Frutti mare.
The chefs special for the day and the spicey tomato based sauce was amazing.
Service was attentive to our needs and very friendly.
Prices were as expected for an upscale Italian restaurant
Atmosphere was almost too quiet. Could use some ambient music playing.
Highly suggest trying their Sangria!

Stuffed mushrooms were good. Shrimp Alfredo was horrible! Zero flavor except a fishy, water taste. Ive never had fushy shrimp before and it was disgusting. Previous time we had Alfredo, Eggplant parm, and a wedge salad. Alfredo was dry, no flavor at all. Eggplant was burnt and sauce was a thimble amount...not exaggerated unfortunately. The wedge salad was a mini head of iceberg and splash of dressing and that was about it. We thought all places have bad days and decided yo try again and it was horribly worse this time around.
Ciao Bella used to have such delicious food but its been going downhill for awhile now and this us to the point of inedible. We wont be back.

I was unable to edit my prior review. The GM Kathryn Handled my issues and was very attentive and helpful. She apologized for our experience and made it right. Will go back.

Veal was thick like a chicken breast and tough, eggplant was sliced medium but was fresh at least, appetizer of stuffed mushrooms with sausage for some reason had cold diced tomatoes on top. Take the drive to Little Italy in Cleveland or Toledo for some Italian food. I would not go back. The owner should go to a real Italian place and see how her restaurant stacks up .

Just went for coffee and dessert, but they treated us just like any other diner. They offer numerous coffee options and the tiramiso was really tasty. The marscapone cream wad very velvety.
