This is a really amazing place! It's over the top beautiful atmosphere makes you feel like your dinning with the wolf of Wall Street 😂 the service is top notch and super friendly! The food is super delicious!! I highly recommend trying the lobster bisque it comes with a puff pastry on top. I love that the pizza it is wood fire 🔥 I always recommend Calling and asking when they have entertainment, it is amazing. when they do. This place is great for the hole family or a fancy date. Hell even if you just want to treat your self. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. It is little pricey but they make up for it in quality and service 💯. Also ALL the deserts are over the top excellent!!

Was here for an outside wedding and indoor reception! It was absolutely stunning! Some of the best landscaping ever!

Josh is an awesome server! We had a girls weekend, this place was very pretty and the food was delicious. Beautiful vineyards.

We had a fantastic first time visit with Mel as our server, she was excellent, she recommended a few items and everything was spot on. We did not have a reservation, and they were able to get us a table on the patio. This place is really amazing, and we just brought some friends over yesterday and we have plans to return in a week or so. You won’t be disappointed giving this place a try, The burger was cooked perfectly and delicious.!!

The restaurant and the reservation calendar according to the young girl on the phone, who said sometimes is a week behind is a terrible way to do business. We made a reservation on the 8th specifically for the clam bake, we clicked on the event it opened and we made the reservation, and received a confirmation for it via email . We made another reservation today for tomorrow and when confirming it we asked about our clam bake reservation for the 20th, and all she kept saying was it’s been sold out and wouldn’t let me explain that it had opened on your calendar, saying nothing about being sold out on the 8th like it says now.

We were very disappointed with our experience here. The food was mediocre. For appetizers we had the lobster bisque which was SUPER salty and the pomme frites which were just ok. Our entrees were the sea bass and a margherita pizza. The sea bass was very small, undercooked, fishy and SUPER salty as well. It came with a side of cauliflower mash which was maybe a few tablespoons worth and Tri color carrots which were rubbery. The pizza was ok, nothing special. For the price it was not worth it. Our server was wonderful and the atmosphere is athletically pleasing but on the loud side in the dining room. Will not be returning.

Ordered.tge prime rib. It came with a vegetable medley of carrots and something unidentifiable. It was all cold. My wife had a pizza and it was good. Service was ok.

Our group of 4 arrived to do some wine tasting. The person at the wine tasting counter, Adyana, had a terrible attitude and was very rude to my wife when my wife was asking specific questions about the wine types. We finished our wine tastings and will never return. Gideon Owen could do better at hiring/training customer service oriented wine counter servers.

Bang Bang Shrimp is good BUT,
I’ve been here at least 10 times and each time (Very) Slow and disjointed service is the standard here. When they bring the appetizer out you will have to wait for the plates to actually eat it. You will have long finished your appetizer before you receive your meal. Some portion of your meal will be cold or incomplete for which you will have to wait for an adjustment. Today the waffle machine was broken so our expensive food sat under the warmer while they fixed it. We sat down at 10:34am - food didn’t arrive 11:34. Their server turn over seems too high because we have experienced nice servers who have very little experience actually working at Gideon Owens.

This time we did politely speak to the front of the house manger and she was extremely understanding.

The scenery and vibe of this place is beautiful and has great potential. So if you get an experienced server and the front and back of the house coordinate it will be a good time!

Wine tasting was fun. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Wine tasting and appetizers for the win. Absolutely beautiful setting inside and out.

Wonderful food and drinks! Service is great. Sat outside early evening. Blasting Taylor Swift and top 40 music is a damper on what could have been a nice vibe. Let the adults chose the music and not the 20 year old college kids working here.

Stopping for lunch became one of the highlights of our trip to Catawba. Initially impressed by the architecture of the primary stone building surrounded by the well-groomed garden, the interior surpassed expectations. With a cozy, cool atmosphere, racks of wine, and a beautifully designed restaurant, it rivaled the best wineries we've experienced in Washington State, California, New York, and Italy. Choosing to take advantage of the weekday weather, we were quickly greeted and seated outside on the upscale patio. Wait staff were friendly and attentive as we enjoyed a light lunch and some tasty wines under the trees. Our only complaint was our rush to leave to beat the traffic back to Cleveland (and some chewy crostini). But we hope to return to experience dinner and wines on some future summer night...

This is a beautiful winery, great atmosphere. There wines are very good also there food is good as well.

Food and atmosphere are great. I especially recommend the whipped brie appetizer.
