Change is inevitable so it isn’t unusual that the hibachi dinners are no longer served with the two pieces of shrimp on the side. However, what is, is there is no price adjustment and I can’t find this change noted anywhere. The meals have been served with the shrimp for as long as I can remember. I called the store to check and was told the change was made about a month ago. Additionally, the carryout container is smaller. Since I’ve never measured before, I can’t say that it’s less food but it looks like it is.

Maybe it’s just because I’m used to actual dine-in Nagoya but the food, for the price, was god awful. $50 for the filet and chicken combo with extra yum yum ($10 for yum yum is absurd). Website said all steak is cooked to medium or medium rare (I can’t remember which), my filet was well done (who pays that much for well done filet?) and my chicken was overcooked and dry. The rice lacked flavor and the soup was cold. I received 1 tiny container of dressing for my salad that covered approximately 1/4 of my salad and had to toss the rest. Hardly any vegetables were given as well, although the vegetables were very good. 1st and last time trying it, will stick with Nagoya dine in in Perrysburg.

So, this is a Carryout Japanese Restaurant. It’s not trying to be a high-end sit down restaurant. They serve much of the same restaurant as their larger restaurant in Perrysburg, from a casual carryout in a seasonal vacation spot, that doesn’t have a consistent customer base in the winter. I for one am grateful to have the Nagoya back in the community in any format, and I will support them every time I’m in the area.
And, they clearly deserve a much better rating than the bogus rating that they have of 3.9 stars on 9/29/25, from people who are pissed off that they closed their flagship store that closed due to Covid.

Just ordered hibachi to go. Wow. It was really good. 😊 Thanks for making such a great dinner!!
Went inside and ordered steak and chicken hibachi meal and filet and chicken hibachi meal. Approx $51 + $1.5 convenience fee. Plus wife put 5% tip to equal ~$60. I get home and I open to see two steak and chicken. The filet version is $6 more. We were the only ones there. Not too thrilled about my wife putting tip on a takeout order especially when half the order was wrong.
Although the food is plentiful with all that rice along with salad and mushroom soup which tasted good, it was overcooked; steak was chewy and the chicken tasted dry. Veggies salty. Two pieces of shrimp.
