The service was terrible..Barmaid was to busy entertaining people at bar..was only 4 at bar and 1 other booth of 4 besides us 3 and we waited over 1 hr for our food and when I ask why it takes 2 hr the waitress cocked an attitude..claims 1 cook and the couple at bar was eating ..no excuse we still waited over 1 hr..its not the first time we waited for ever but it will be the last because I will never eat here again. I'd rather give my business to Brick house where you get waited on and get food and not have to wait forever to get food.and have to deal with a snotty waitress with an attitude..at slaters..

Hubby and I had a great perch sandwich, sea salt fries and coleslaw! Terrific portions, great value for the amount of perch! Super friendly staff and a cold beer to go with! Can't beat it! We'll be back!

went there yesterday sat at bar for 10 minutes no one ever came to serve us.

Food has gone to crap under new ownership.

Went to trivia night here. Sat there for 30 minutes before anyone waited on us. The place was about half filled but no one on the floor. The guy running the trivia was super nice. Checked on us over and over. After 30 minutes a waitress came and took our order. Never saw her again. Left when trivia was done with no food ever showing up. We ordered soup and Boneless wings for apps and burgers for meals so wasn’t like we were waiting on the osobuco to braise or something. Again, trivia host was great. Did not get any food in over an hour so can’t comment on it.

We had eaten here several years ago and really liked it. Back in the area, we decided to go there for lunch. Sometimes a restaurant can change over time. But not Slater's. We ordered Beef Brisket Burgers with hand cut fries. We certainly liked the burgers and the fries were incredible. The service was truly superb. Thank you staff.

The fries were terrible and the burgers were not tempted how we asked. The server was barely at our table and was focusing more on her bigger tables. We waited for like half an hour to get another drink and never got it. And when we got our food it wasn’t even warm.

I'm giving service a five because the two servers that were working were working their butts off The food come out hot and it was delicious it was a little slow to get orders taken but once the orders got taken they were really moving the place was busy and there was only the bartender and a waitress on staff but it wasn't their fault they did wonderful

We’ve been regulars at Slater’s for years, as we have a place in Port Clinton and often come out on weekends—but after our most recent experience, we won’t be returning. The service was absolutely horrible—painfully slow, inattentive, and disorganized. The atmosphere, which used to feel lively and fun, was dull and lifeless. No live music, no energy, and no urgency from the staff. What happened to this place? It’s such a disappointment to see a local favorite decline like this. There are too many great spots in the area to waste another night here.
